This will rub some fans the wrong way because of KOC and the ringer, but this article hits on everything that’s wrong with the team.

Aside from the tile, the article is pretty solid on the issues for the team. Between poor coaching, abysmal front office, and inconsistent play from our starters, 2024 could be a referendum on if Trae Young still feels like he can win a championship with the Hawks. Like it or not, I think the Hawks FO and fans should be ready if/when Trae Young and the team part ways in the near term future.

Ah yes right before the play ins we get this article — isn’t this the same man recruiting Darius slay to the falcons and going to United games? Idk it seems he loves Atlanta but what do I know

Seeing those college clips of Trae playing off the ball makes me so mad because he currently plays like he’s making a conscious decision not to do that even though he knows how to. Anyway, the article is spot-on. The version of Trae we got this season, while still being an absolute masterful playmaker, isn’t the main guy on a championship-level team. He’s still very much carrying the team offensively, but we’ve seen Trae play like that guy and what we’ve seen this season is just…not it. The roster construction and previous coaching also exacerbated this issue. I feel like we’d need a very deep and talented team like the Grizzlies to achieve playoff success. I’m sure Snyder can right the ship but some tweaks need to be made because quite a few of the starters and bench are mediocre at best. I might have exaggerated a bit, but that’s just my ramblings because I’m so frustrated and disappointed with how this season has turned out.

It speaks volumes that John Collins isn’t even mentioned in passing
