He’s making up for omitting Giannis of his top-5 list a while back 😂

JJ is so good. I pretty much agree with like 99% of the stuff he says. Just makes sense.

I agree with JJ, NBA media is gonna give this MVP to Joel just because he doesn’t have one. Imo, Joel is 3rd in the race.

I would be fine with any choice JJ made because he is a no BS guy. The only time he was blatantly wrong was when he didn’t put Giannis in his top-5, and Embiid immediately called him on it.

The whole idea around the “well, he should get it because he hasn’t won one” argument is total horseshit. Giannis had a historic year, led us to the best record in the league, and is the most valuable player in the game. I get that the NBA is all about storylines, but the player most deserving should get it.

I agree with this, but you gotta be honest that this season’s MVP race is fucking CRAZY (aside from the toxic coverage on it.) Just the players themselves have been insane, and it’s been exciting as fuck to watch all 3, and I truly wouldn’t disagree with any of them.
Bias included though, fuck all that, Giannis MVP always, not even close baybeee

It’s a little ridiculous how much weight is put on if the player has previously won it or not, especially since it has absolutely nothing to do with how the player is performing.

Never noticed how much Tommy sounds like Todd from Bojack Horseman.

Ever since the Boston series JJ has done a 180 on Giannis and now loves him. Also embiid calling him out for not having Giannis in the top 5 was great.
Also JJ is just good at his job and knows his stuff. His podcast is typically really good. His last interview with RJ was hilarious.

19 games missed is just a massive strike against his case

That’s almost a quarter of the season
