Why did the Cavaliers stop doing the Skyline Design on the court?

Looked so fresh in my opinion. I have no clue why they removed it.

My guess – those shadow design elements were a big trend we jumped on, but with the design language of the rebrand under Arsham wanted something less busy and more “classic”

I do like the skyline, but think the current court design looks really nice without it and kind of enjoy having a more old school/clean appearance. Too many stain tones and designs and logos just looks really messy to me on tv and has started looking dated for some teams (Oregon is an extreme case that was already polarizing when it started but looks even worse to me after a couple years)

Unrelated but kind of related. I remember there being a court design that had the C with the sword through it and it looked so so awful. If I remember correctly it was only used once then scrapped.

The lake Erie Monsters kept tearing it down

Someone asked the most disappointing things about the season and this was about to be my response. The skyline was a really cool feature and definitely gave us a unique court. I’m sad they got rid of it

I find it annoying and distracting personally. but I do feel there was a touch of cool to it. Like the comedian what’s-his-name said… “come and check out both of our buildings”… 🙂

Idk but the navy blue court with the skyline just hit so different
