We all know that injuries are part of the game, and something that all teams go through, but it’s eye opening actually seeing the stats. According to [spotrac](https://www.spotrac.com/nba/injured-reserve/cumulative-team/) the Wizards lost 137 games to injury, which is actually 7th best in the league. They also have the metric of **cash earned while injured**, where they are 15th in the league, which is league average.
Of course both stats are not a perfect indicator of value lost while injured, but it gives you a good idea that they are not that snake bitten. In fact, they are probably average or even above average when it comes to injury luck. This front office continues to trot out this excuse, thinking that the fanbase is naive enough to believe them.
