What’s Next For The Detroit Pistons?

After a disappointing 2022-23 season for the Detroit Pistons including a shortened season for future star Cade Cunningham, not all is bad for the Detroit Pistons. Jaden Ivey is coming off a great rookie season, rookie Jalen Duren had a great season himself and the rest of the frontcourt looks very promising. Here is my thoughts on what’s next for the Detroit Pistons

  1. The Detroit Piston cannot let Dwayne Casey come back next season because he was paid to tank the last two years and I do not believe Casey can reverse the tanking mentality. The Pistons need a fresh new start with a focus on players rotations and time allocations . Opposition height and size matching. Improvement in team shooting and finishing layups in the paint without forcing shots and better defensive attacking schemes and alignment zone strategies and more important making sure you have the right players on the court late in the 4th quarter who can defend and make three points shots with good free throw shooting percentages. We need FIVE CLOSER who will not CHOKE under Pressure.

  2. It’s wild having two top 3 picks as starters asking what’s next 😂 probably gonna get another unfortunately

  3. With the way everything is going with the Pistons, could they end up with a starting five of lottery picks? Stay tuned. . . Go Lions!

  4. First time I've watched your content. As a Pistons fan, I was surprised and impressed at how well you managed to capture the state of the team; well researched. Sub'd.

  5. Excellent analysis of the the team. Like your comparison with the Magic. But with some lottery luck, health and some expected growth based on pass performance this could be a play in team.
My projected lineup for next season. Cade, Ivey, Wembanyama, Wiseman if he can develop an outside shot, and Duren. 2nd unit Killian, Burks, Bogdanovic Stewart Bagley. A decent free agent, Procida, or 2nd rd pick that could be traded up to a 1st, Hampton, so far Omoruyi has shown me more than Livers and is cheaper to keep, . If that free agent is say like Cam Johnson, Wiseman gets pushed to the 2nd unit now Stewart or Bagley is the odd man out. Unless Stewart gets back to hitting this 3s, I would say he is the odd one out. At least Bagley has been productive on the offensive side. Omoruyi isn't better than Stewart but he is a lot cheaper. This team would have length and should improve the defense. They would have depth on the bench also

  6. When Isaiah Injures is healthy he's nice, but how many time was he hurt this season?

  7. Casey has too go! If we don't get Wemby we gotta draft Brandon Miller. He fits this team so well while drafting Scoot it would be 4 guards in 4 years lol. Ivey has been a DAWG and Jalen Duren is our guy at 5

  8. What if the Pistons get the number 2 in the upcoming draft? You think they will pick Scoot Henderson?

  9. All we need is improvement on the wing and for wise to work on that 3 we’ll be okay . Can’t wait to see who’ll coaching the squad for the foreseeable future.

  10. The three in the thumbnail are the only three they should keep. This team is awful. If they do actually want to win they need vets.
