The Play-In Preview: How Miami Will Attack Trae, Which LeBron Will We Get & More | The Dunker Spot

Nekias Duncan and Steve Jones Jr. get you ready for the Play-In Tournament, as well as the playoff series that are currently set in stone.

Topics include: how the Miami Heat may attack Trae Young (The Atlanta Hawks) on both ends; how the Minnesota Timberwolves can adjust without Rudy Gobert, Jaden McDaniels, and Naz Reid against LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers Lakers; Zach LaVine’s importance for the Chicago Bulls in light of how the Toronto Raptors defend and match up; if the Oklahoma City Thunder and New Orleans Pelicans can crowd the paint and bother each other’s stars; how the Nets’ switching could bother the Philadelphia 76ers, and potential counters; Draymond Green’s matchup versatility for the Golden State Warriors Warriors, and how the The Sacramento Kings can counter; the interior battle between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the New York Knicks; what kind of cross-matching we can expect in Phoenix Suns and The Los Angeles ClippersClippers.

  1. Can u lay off off Draymond a little and just attack the handoff. What iff u give green space and don't engage of those screen handoffs

  2. So happy for Nekias and Steve! They deserve everything that comes to them

  3. As a Hawks fan, I’m never HOPING we lose but if we do lose tonight I won’t be mad. I can see them still winning the next play-in game and squeezing into the playoffs. Bucks are a better matchup for them as well.

  4. People need to remember that 2-way players like Luka Garza are not eligible to play in the Play-In or Playoffs so they don't have access to them. I've seen this theme across podcasts.

  5. How u mention Knicks rebounding and not mention hartenstein. When Mitchell gets in foul trouble…which he will hartenstein will be a key. He rebounds…in short minutes

  6. Just wanted to pop in and say thank you for all the support we've received so far! Hoping y'all keep rocking with us as we wade these YouTube waters lol.

Some other play-in/off things I'll be tracking that didn't make it into the pod:

-Dejounte Murray's shotmaking, particularly against switches. Had some fun vs Bam in the MLK matchup in particular
-Quietly ATL has gotten good stuff from the Bogdan/Bey/Johnson/Okongwu quartet off the bench. What impact will they have?
-What Jonas Valanciunas' usage will look like in this one; does he get post-ups vs OKC's smaller frontline? Can he hold up in PnR?
-NYK's second unit is one of, if not, the best in the league. How many games can they swing? Can Caris, playing well as of late, out-duel IQ?

  7. You both were very dope twitter follows. Glad to see the success. If you guys can implement more game tape that would be great.

  8. The suns' second unit almost won aganist the Clippers with Kawhi.

Suns in four meme boutta be back!

  9. timestamps are a must on Youtube. its a different medium and people who dont know what this pod is,(I'm a longtime listener)are clicking the video for a specific reason a lot of the time.
