Mac McClung 76ers Highlights Vs Nets (20 pts, 9 assists, 9 Rebs)

Amazing game for Mac as he flirted with a 20 point triple double. He tied for the team lead in scoring, lead the team in assists with 9 and just 1 turnover and was 2nd on the team in rebounding. The crazy thing is that he missed a bunch of shots he normally makes, had he made a few of those and played a couple more minutes this could’ve been a 30 point triple double. Oh, and he lead the team with a +29

As well as he played, the the thing I liked best was that not only did he not look like a negative on the floor defensively, he actually looked like a net positive. Everyone knows he can score at the next level, but it’s his perceived lack of defense keeping him out of the league. Overall, great way to end an amazing season… dunk champ, G League champ, and player of the game in the final regular season game for the 76ers. Hopefully his body of work these last 2 seasons can get him a full NBA contract next season.

  1. Calling it now he looking like a Steve Nash wit
The skills and diving everywhere for balls and taking charges… hopefully someday a team gives him a shot at a starting role

  2. man this is such a feel-good story….ESPN produced a short of how his family literally has his back on his journey…he chose to stay in the US instead of going over seas for the quick bag…keep in mind he BROKE Allen Iveson's Virginia State basketball scoring record…he a bad man…

  3. So Mac is potentially a 10 5 & 5 guy, not bad. Hope he’s in the League long enough for us to witness his balding progress.

  4. I do not know much about the NBA, can someone explain why are Joel Embiid and James Harden not playing?

  5. The ol' NBA doctrine…

    …don't worry about defense
    …don't worry about steroids
…don't worry about illegal drug use
    …don't worry about guns
    …don't worry about domestic violence
    …don't worry about fixed officiating
…and don't worry about getting a chance to play if you're white and American.

And this kid is proof. Crushed college and D-League for multiple years and still got ignored. Then all the racist idiots pretended he was first white player to win the NBA dunk contest. Smh.

  6. mac was TRASH on defense throughout college. was lost defending off the ball. it’s amazing how much better he’s gotten on that end, as well as developing as an actual pg, and not an undersized SG. he’s clearly worked really hard on those things last season with south bay, and has now given himself an actual shot at getting in a rotation.

  7. When you look at McClung you see a skinny kid among monsters but he is a super athlete he can hang with these men due to skills and athletic ability.

  8. Can definitely see him as a solid bench guard for the sixers these next few seasons. Hits his spot ups, gets annoying on defense, keeps the reads and passes simple when sharing the rock, and brings some nice speed and energy. Everything you want out of a role player.

  9. Mac looks like he fits in well with this team ! He has the same potential as everyone else on the court ! All Star ?

  10. Ladies and gents, I believe the guy is nice and will be ok in the league. But… this is garbage time and against the B and C team.

  11. I knew he would do great. Good to see and we'll deserved. John Stockton, Danny Ainge, Spud Web… Proved many wrong
