I really like Grimes – he adds athleticism we lack with JB and RJ in the lineup. He can hit 3s but also is very successful at attacking the rim. So, he is already more than a classic 3+D guy. He shows flashes of eventually growing to be a star. His handle is improving, he can do spin moves, he is very fast but without elite hops (though they are good by NBA standards). I think the next stage in his development is working more on his handle and footwork. Right now, he has just one speed. Switching gears, doing euro-step, working on mid-range game – this could unlock his scoring potential. His defense, is of course, is already superb. I haven't seen a ton of playmaking potential in him but he can also work on that – usually that comes last in development of non-PGs.
