Ty Lu has the 3rd best playoff winning percentage of any head coach in NBA history who has coached at least 70 playoff games. What are his biggest challenges entering these playoffs?

1) Figuring out how to keep Kawhi fresh, knowing that he will likely be both relentlessly double teamed and counted on as a defensive stopper.
2) Figuring out how to use our depth… something that used to be his greatest coaching strength but has become his greatest failing this season.
These issues are obviously intertwined.

The challenge is getting creative with the depth that we have. We actually need to deploy wing stop imo. Even use Coffey just to keep the others fresh and draw some hard fouls. Anything else from him would be gravy. We have the wings to slow them down just gotta deploy the right lineups.

His rotations. He’s been struggling with how he uses his personnel all year, but of course he hasn’t had all his personnel to use. So he’s got to find squads that click immediately.
Getting guys to play for each other, instead of themselves. They gotta pass and cut more and dribble less.
Keeping his love affair with Morris, quiet.

Being a playoff coach without LeBron James on his roster.

Adjusting more quickly and being more objective rather than just having faith in his guys. It’s glossed over bc we pulled it out but even in the 21 run he stuck too long with Bev when he was being barbecued by Luka for example.
I don’t think we will recover like against the Mavs or the Jazz if we go down against the Suns. We need to punch them in the mouth early and give ourselves some confidence and momentum, otherwise I feel it will look like the 21 series against them
