I know we’re probably about to overpay these guys and continue being mid until we actually understand that point guard is the most important position in basketball but I guess this post is just to say that I hope we don’t end up hating KP and Kuz cuz of their contracts like most of us did Beal. Cuz honestly they’ve been two of the best personalities we’ve had on the wizards on and off the court maybe this whole decade ,up there with John Wall and Russ. From a leadership standpoint, mentoring our young guys, and just being cool dudes who have been passionate about the team and about the fans since they got here and have been some of the few players I’ve seen show pride in being a wizard for better or for worse and it really does rub off on the other guys(Deni, Corey, Goody, Gaff).
All in all especially with them both having career years I just wanted to show them some love and take a moment to laugh that we got an Allstar for Dinwiddie and Bertans😂. And a kinda Allstarish guy for what was one of the worst contracts in the league. If we are gonna be mid for eternity, I’m glad it’s with guys like this now and not guys like Dinwiddie.

It seemed like Kuz was turning a corner in March before he got shut down. He was averaging 20/6/3 on 47/35/78 splits which is solid for a 3rd option.
I just think Kuz and KP look good next to each other on the court. Something about ’em.
When Kuz is on, he’s amazing but when he doesn’t have his shot he doesn’t really contribute anywhere else. If he can become more consistent with his game and not disappear for large chunks of time, I’d be fine with re-signing him to a deal. Otherwise, these days, 20 ppg scorers who don’t do much else are a dime-a-dozen.
KP has been amazing and we need to bring him back. If it’s a choice between the two, there isn’t really a choice imo.

Kuz will continue to be inefficient and KP will not stay healthy like this year. Hopefully we extend them and then trade em once eligible
KP is just crazy underrated. He’s so fun to watch and a legit all-star but people just go “Oh jUsT WaiT uNtiL he’S iNJurEd AgaIn” every time someone tries to highlight his amazing season. Playing for the Wizards really turns you invisible.
If we somehow pull-off a Beal – Trae deal they would be incredible 2 and 3 scoring options
