    I love it. As soon as the C's somewhat unexpectedly "dodged a bullet" (Thank God!!) by not having to play a still-overrated, under-performing Miami team that boasts, like, three versions of Sam Hauser, now we're supposed to be afraid of a "trap" by a team that last played defense when Doc Rivers was a player. Boy, we REALLY have to manufacture "stories" now, don't we? Next week, we'll be (supposedly) asking ourselves, "Who should the Bruins fear more, the Panthers or Penguins?" Think about how ridiculous that sounds.

    Oh, Miami Blatherers–guys who talked trash on THIS pod to me about how fearsome the Heat are (and wrote brilliant things like "Jimmie Butler is a way better defender" than Jayson 1st-Team-All-NBA/led-the-NBA-in-defensive-winshares-last-year Tatum. Of course. Yo, Heat Droolers, where you at? Trash-talking Bulls fans, I can only hope.

    Yeah, the "scoring title" thing is exactly as you stated John–fans are suddenly passionate about it because it's their guy. That's it, we all know it. I think it's INTERESTING that basketball values per game stats vs. counting stats that most other sports do–admittedly, I hadn't ever noticed, and it is noteworthy. But that's it.

    Scoring champ should be
    Take 3 categories
    1. Total points
    2. Points per game
    3. Points per minute played
    Add ranks in all three and lowest number wins

    Ties are fine

    Idk if dejomtae is as score first as u saying he average 6 assist with trae young an 9 last year on spurs I think he would be a great fit him an Derrick white do some of the same things imo blocks steals scoring passing

    They do send you trophies for scoring champ I remember Carmelo posted his. in 1969 they did total points to win scoring champion then changed It

    Hell yes, we got the right guard. White has been amazing this year and overcame the detractors from last year. Shout out to Jake from First to the Floor who has been obsessed with White. He hilariously calls him “the mistress” and says he may leave his fiancée for Derrick.

    Hey John, here’s a take for you regarding scoring champion: do you think Abdul Jabar or Lebron would have been NBA all time scoring leader if they didn’t play this late in their career? I think penalizing a player that has the most points in a regular season because some others play less games isn’t fair. With that logic, Lebron all-time title means nothing

    You don't know what you're talking about. Shaddiq Bey and Jalen Johnson will make the difference. The Celtics tanked it against Warriors and Marcus Smart has no class! Trae kicked him by accident! They tanked it last year! They are a bunch of schmucks!
