I’d be fine with Fred and Nurse back if we can add more playmaking so that he plays way more minutes off the ball. He’s best as a spot up shooter who can space and attack, and is downright detrimental to winning as a main facilitator or 1on1 guy. If it’s just giving the ball to Fred to make something happen (even if it’s off a mismatch) then that is downright insanity. We gave him a chance the last two years to do that and it’s been a blueprint to losing in important minutes.

Did we watch the same Fred all year? He has been selfish all year. Players know he is going to shoot it, they don’t move anymore. Unless it’s siakam, then he will pass it to him.
A coach is done the moment they lose their locker room – regardless of how good they are at X’s and O’s. It’s reassuring that Fred still supports Nurse. I just hope that the rest of the team core feels the same…
