W, we need to move on from Bobby and Masai honestly.

Edit: Why do people always want to blame NN and never blame the FO for putting this team in this spot?????

    [Full quote at 4:15] (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ksHdq6OB_Dw):

“I think Nick’s a great coach. I love playing for him. I think my teammates love playing for him. He’s a very respected coach. And yeah we just all enjoy playing for him.”

All the clowns saying the players don’t like Nick, this is about as clear a repudiation of that invented narrative as you can get.

Honestly Nurse isn’t the problem. We literally just have 5 above average starters, GTJ, and either Boucher or Achiuwa every night (but never both).

If we replaced 2-3 of the starters with a superstar, that still wouldn’t be a championship team because our depth is so bad.

  4. Nick is a great coach. The FO should do whatever it takes to keep him, but give him an actual full roster to work with. Giving him 5 starters and then a few very flawed bench pieces who shit away leads and can’t stay on the court is clearly not the recipe for success.

This is a professional speaking in OG, not like NN’s unprofessional “well I don’t know if I wanna be here…hmmm…10 years is a long time…” before he’s even done coaching!

This sub kept telling me Nick lost the locker room and the players were giving up on him.

I still believe that this team doesn’t have the talent to consistently make the playoffs every year let alone compete for a title but Nurse set himself up for all of the criticism that’s now coming his way for playing our starters league high minutes to try to force their way into the playoffs every year.

If he just played the bench more last season then we probably wouldn’t have been the 5th seed and it would have been more clear to the casual fans and the FO that this team isn’t good and it needs more talent. Now, people are calling for his job because he didn’t meet the fans inflated expectations. This team isn’t built to be able to compete for the playoffs and develop young players at the same time.

Nurse isn’t the problem the roster is. We have no bench and a undersized SG that’s playing point. Most teams have to tear down a few years after a title run we’re at that stage. Nurse definitely is a great coach and will find another job almost immediately.

OG always professional and wouldn’t say anything in public that would draw negative attention.

He is a great coach. I know siakam doesn’t really like him but it seems like most of the players do. I don’t see why they would move on.

The team was dysfunctional this season, either the coach goes or the players causing the disfunction

I’d say that the biggest issue is that the FO, Nick and the top players don’t seem to be on the same page. The current roster construction and playing style is not working and who knows where the lies the breakdown – we certainly don’t. Pick a direction, construct a roster that complements that philosophy and have a coach to implement it and get everybody on board going forward.

The way the players rave about Nurse is definitely making me think the ONLY reason Nurse would ever leave is if the FO is being way too controlling.
