We all know the league doesn’t want to acknowledge tanking so they had to fine the Mavs for saying it out loud. At the same time the league didn’t want to punish the Mavs with a lost pick and have Cuban raise hell and get lawyers involved. The NBA brand hurts from this, players taking off games rampantly and subjective officiating with no quality control. I have switched to hockey in terms of what I watch or swag I buy. I think the NBA will soon be in decline. If the teams and the fans treat the regular season like a joke, it will become one.
