Doris Burke is Taking the Bucks to win it all (and talks Giannis)

She was asked about her MVP vote, and how she ended up with joker ahead of Giannis, and has a lot of good bits. Even says she feels guilt. The whole segment starts around 19:20 or so.

But this was the championship call bit and most of the quote:
“Jrue was put into a position of winning games for them with his offense down the stretch and he was more than capable of meeting those moments and that elevates this entire team. I believe Milwaukee is going to win the championship this year and I believe in part it’s because of the increased level of aggressiveness that we’ve seen from Jrue Holiday and the willingness to fill that void [when Giannis and Khris are out] and hopefully he sustains that mentality as much as anything.”

She always hated on the national broadcasts but I guess welcome?

Okay this is really pointless and off topic, but I see/hear it from sports talk people all the time

Why do they use the word (is it even a word?) “aggressiveness” instead of “aggression”

Surprised. She always is talking about Tatum during broadcasts not involving the Celtics.

I will echo another commentator, broken clock.

I love Jrue. Doesn’t this kind of show Doris doesn’t really watch them that much? I feel bad even saying this, but Jrue has never had a problem being aggressive and going 3/15. He can get to the hoop whenever he wants (elite), it’s the finishing and missing shots, not aggressiveness that’s the issue. So this year he had great stretch where he rose to the moment on the offensive end. That’s great! And we hope he can do it in the playoffs. But he’s never lacked the proper amount of aggression, or am I wrong?

Feels like everyone says the same thing. Gun to the head? Bucks. But every team has glaring weaknesses and it’s 6-7 teams that could win it wll

Doris is usually always salivating over the Boston Floppy Bois…..I’m surprised!
