[K.C. Johnson] Zach LaVine: “It hurts. I just didn’t shoot the ball well. A lot of good shots that normally go in. It sucks knowing that we were so close. If I make a couple of those, it could be the tipping point. So it hurts a lot.”

I like that he’s taking accountability. Good quote.

He’s not wrong, some of those shots go in 95% of the time, but the turnovers and bad passes from him pressing hurt also. Just trying to do too much once his shot wasn’t there.

  3. We wouldn’t have been playing today if it wasn’t for him but sometimes these shots just don’t fall unfortunately.

On a positive note, he’ll have a proper offseason again and shouldn’t have a slow start to the season again!

  5. I’d like to see him take less difficult running 3s when he doesn’t have it on though. Catch and shoot I’m cool with 100% of the time

Zach is a star, not a superstar. He has nothing to counter crunch playoff time intensity from other teams that include superstars.

Yeah people were shitting on him in the game thread he didn’t really do anything different. Shots just weren’t going in. Wonder if he was gassed from carrying the team on wed. Looking forward to watched the heat get swept by the bucks

  8. MakeEmLeak

I seen a few people say he got hurt was that true ? I didn’t see anything

  9. Bleachighost

If we had a good pg, Zach wouldn’t be turning it over so much

  10. Oh it hurts does it. Just become consistent for fucks sake like others paid the same

  11. Wasn’t you, Zach. Team effort loss. No single play or couple plays make the difference. Because every subsequent play may have then played out differently. No sense dwelling on the past but instead just vowing to continue to strive to do better next time. We appreciate you, Zach.

  12. I think we still need to build around him. It will be hard with Ball on the books but we have something in Zach.

  13. Dude balled out since the all star break and was huge reason why the bulls made it to this point. The hate is crazy

  14. BilliamFancysons

I’m not mad at Zach. He had a bad game at the worst time, but the fact is he BALLED OUT for most of the season, especially after the all star break. We get a proper point guard and hire another head coach, the Bulls will be better next year.

I like him taking it on the chin. But he’s not bringing an A1 star in to play with him he doesn’t have that personality or game. And we’re stuck with him.

  16. moneyman2222

Without him, we’re not even here. So I don’t blame him. But damn it’s fucking tiring hearing this same thing said verbatim all throughout the year

  17. The thing in the NBA is that anything beyond a 3 seed is largely irrelevant. The 6 seed has won once, the 4 seed has won once. And both the teams that did that had all time greats (Bill Russell, Hakeem Olajuwon). The play in is fuckin pointless and even winning it is nowhere near good enough. They were never actually close to anything this season

When your shots not falling you got to adapt and stop shooting. He does this in the regular season where he is 0/4 from 3pt line and then he will still come down and take a heat check 3

  19. yougotthesilver12

Good on him. He tried his best, gave it his all and didn’t come up with it tonight. That’s okay. We all have days where we try hard and fail. As long as he learns from it and works hard in the off-season to get better, I’m all good. It was a team loss

  20. germanshephsayswhat

The thing I noticed most though…he’s gotten so so much better on defense. So proud of him!

Watching him miss wide open corner threes really hurt 🙁
