Our 1 and 2 had 5-18 and 10-25 but we’re gonna act like it only one person’s fault. Trae literally had only 3 more ast than to’s. The whole team played like trash like idc who you like no one played well. This was a team loss, no energy, no communication, offense was trash, and defense was trasher. At least acknowledge literally everyone sucked

I could deal with Dre being inconsistent, I could deal with him being a below average shooter, i could deal with him not rebounding, I could deal with him standing still on offense, I could deal with him loving the mid range shot, I could deal with him missing time with injuries.

but damn dude PLAY SOME DEFENSE. Thats YOUR thing.

  3. aurelianson

i feel like this has been said a lot but someone needs to tell deandre that hes 6’8” and swole.

  4. WzrdKelly10

That 2nd quarter was so awful on offense and defense. This honestly could have been a somewhat competitive game.

  5. Ezerton21

Good game overall and encouraging. I think the most annoying part was either the missed put backs or just having to deal with ESPN commentators. Looking forward to TNT games.

Game was never close. Celtics have done this, without exaggeration, every single game they’ve been up 25+ in tbe first half. Legitimately, every single game. They quit, and decided the game was over.

If Atlanta plays better in the first half, Boston doesn’t pack it in, and the game probably bounces between 12-18 the entire night.

Nothing from today indicates anything but a sweep.

Well that stunk, they are the better team and showed it, can not go down by 30 and expect success. Glass half full it could of been worse? Part of the playoff experience is bouncing back from these stinkers, showed some life in the second but yeah way too big of a hole.

  8. turn_upppp

Plain and simple we need to hit our 3’s

  9. yulejool

I’m excited for the rest of this series sure we started like trash but we closed the game well and Quin will make adjustments

  10. travel_p

We get it guys, Hunter had a terrible game but I don’t see yall saying anything about Trae going 5/18 with 5 turnovers. Trae had the worse game today.

  11. Aardvark-0001

Lol I just want Trae, Bogi, Bey , JC and DJM to take like 500 shots at practice for the next 2 days … JJ too, JJ got a lot of open looks today

  12. starcher

While we did shoot really poorly, gotta give Boston credit. They did a great job closing out on our shooters, and let the guys who aren’t as great (JJ that I noticed mostly) take em.

Horrid first half, but we proved in that second half that we can take a punch and keep fighting. Hopefully we shook off our jitters and we can make the rest of this series a little more competitive.

  13. Bombs_Go_B00M

Also hope Jalen is ok, those knee to knee collisions SUCK

  14. Happy-North-9969

Trae needs better shot selection. The step back and logo 3s have to go.

Overall this team is too soft.

  15. captvic

Let’s be honest the score doesn’t look as bad because Boston took their foot off the gas not because we made a comeback.

Also I’m almost done with Hunter. The man has the length to be a great defender but he doesn’t want to use it. Can’t teach effort 🤷‍♂️

  16. nikiverse

Boston is a great team obv! It was nice to see us go on a little run after the half.

  17. childishgames

Do you think there is anything that could possibly convince any coach (Snyder, Nate, Lloyd, etc.) that DeAndre is NOT that guy? I would feel so good if he was held accountable.

Has he ever been benched? Has a coach ever said “hey… you don’t deserve 30 minutes per game?”

  18. blingera

media is so disgustingly Knicks-biased lmao how do they all have them beating the Cavs

  19. Cheese_Pie2008

quin’s gonna be in the lab cooking up somethin spicy for tuesday

  20. childishgames

Remember last year when trae routinely went off for an efficient 30 or 40 points and took over games?

Honestly it’s a rarity if that happens ever since the miami series. He’s still really good, but like I have lost belief that he can go off and take over a game against a good team.

  21. Shade_Raven

DeAndre Hunter with the most uncoordinated fastbreaks in the NBA

  22. terrence0258

When Trae gets disrespected by opposing fans and the media for not being a superstar level player, this is why. They aren’t watching the Hawks on a random Tuesday night when he drops 40 on some team. They’re watching these games, and games like this is where the narrative develops.

Today was just a continuation of the Miami series last year. How can we get mad at people for questioning his ability when it’s becoming the norm for him to have as many turnovers as field goals made in playoff games? This shit is embarrassing.

  23. doughedup

Sooo many shots rimmed in and out. A lot were off by mere inches. No excuse for being down by 30, but something is just off ever so slightly.

We need to stop playing so frantic when we get flustered. Also our defense needs to be better, way too many easy looks for Boston.

  24. Bobgoulet

Did the Hawks play like total garbage or did Boston totally Dad dick us?

  25. Chessh2036

Well the Hawks at least made it interesting (for a bit) in the second half, if they can play like that in Game 2 then they’ve got a shot.
