TBF the only one that was really a reach was Fred.

    Scottie is/was based on potential.

OG is an extremely valuable 3+D player.

I’m sure the asking price for Sharpe would be crazy high, and he averages 9ppg, you can have valuable assets and a shitty team. This is a bad perspective, not interesting lol.

    >Asking price for Scottie Barnes: KD

Yeah surely Scottie Barnes with his $8 million per year salary would’ve been enough for KD and his max

  3. hoennking502

This fanbase overrates these players so much lol

  4. lillithfair98

the asking price for KD was Scottie AND OG/Fred/Pascal.

  5. Dislikes_Chocolate

The team sucking doesn’t mean the players weren’t worth that. That Mavs didn’t make the playoffs either, so what.

  6. AllOutRaptors

Scottie would’ve had to been offered with at LEAST Gary and OG to make the money work. The most reported package was 3 **LATE** 1sts for OG. And Fred was an all star last year, we should be able to get a young player and late 1st for him **if he had a longer contract and wasn’t expiring**

Get this garbage off this sub. This is the same stupid shit spouted by other fans to discredit us.

None of those trades are worth it IMO.

  7. Because as we all know, an NBA team consists of only 3 players

  8. OperatorKino

Interesting ? More like surfaced level AF lol.

Scottie is on a rookie scale deal, KD is making 40M +.

Nobody expects to get a young player AND picks for FVV who’s on an expiring deal.

No one from the Raptors expected to get a Donovan Mitchell like haul for OG, Zach Lowe said that off the cuff on his podcast.

Stop giving idiots engagement and attention. They rile up Raps fans on purpose to get attention.

  9. free_kark

This isn’t an interesting perspective… it’s a reductive one free of context or understanding of how salary matching works.

The league is so stacked right now I think it’s hard to quantify talent levels the same way. The tweet is a little disingenuous because Scottie for KD was never a possibility due to trade rules, Zach Lowe said the Raptors could get a “Donovan Mitchell like haul”, not that the Raptors were after one and teams were balking. Is a young player and a pick really that crazy of an asking price??

When you look around the league, teams with really good cores are struggling to make it to .500 this season and 80% of the league is disappointed with their outcome. Luka and Kyrie missed the play-in entirely. Pelicans are loaded with talent and lost a 9-10 play in game. TWolves got the 8 seed with Towns, Ant, and 2 All defense caliber guys.

Does OKC trade Shai for KD? Probably not.
Do they trade Giddey for Donovan Mitchell like haul? Maybe?
They sure as hell aren’t trading Jalen Williams for a young player and picks. They also missed the playoffs.

The reason why the Raptors were leading the news during the trade deadline is because we actually have guys that translate to winning playoff basketball games, the issue is we only have like 4 of them when you need 8.

  11. ilickedysharks

This is a clown tweet lmao asking price for scottie is kd?? As if scottie’s 7m could be traded straight up for KD’s 40m?? And I’m sure we all know Zach Lowe was gassing it with the Donovan Mitchell comparison that he literally walked back

  12. NoseBlind2

Team with KD, Kyrie, and Harden imploded.

Its not the core, it was the atrocious bench.

The players can still be good

  13. birdmanpresents

Such a stupid tweet lacking a ton of context.

  14. Ezekiellen

And teams with Kawhi, Steph, Lebron, Klay, Paul George, KD, CP3, Booker, Westbrook and AD lost division title to the f-ing Kings. What’s the point of this post?

  15. jjkiller26

So we could trade for Luka for nothing because the team he was on missed the playoffs? I guess Zion, ingram, jv, cj, etc are all worthless trade chips since the pelicans missed the playoffs?

    Amazing logic used here

  16. IonHazzikostasIsGod

That dude’s just loud and wrong constantly

    ESPN-level takes
