Both are obviously true, they played like shit and there isn’t really an excuse, but the tweet above does explain some of the poor play. To me there’s a difference there.
I mean same can be said about the season as a whole, they have had a TON of stuff go against them, but have also been their own worst enemy too.
Edit- Important to note, the Wolves top players are all dealing with injuries. Gobert look’s especially not himself. KAT and Ant dealing with stuff too. Again, bit an excuse, they have to play better.

Which one do you agree with? Put a stake in the ground.

denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance

I think those things can contribute to starting slow or running out of gas at the end of the game, but there’s no excuse for a playoff basketball team to be losing by 30

While all those things are true and they gave everything they had the last 6 games just to be here, was a very unfortunate performance. At least 3 more games.

We lost game one on the road. Whatever. If we take care of business at home, we have 3 more chances to win at Denver.
But holy fuck, we played terribly tonight.

We’ve lowered our expectations so far.

That’s the price of being in the play in isn’t it

Never seen an 8 seed missing multiple key players where people get upset they aren’t as good as the fully healthy 1 seed, especially when it’s only 1 game (yes it was a bad game but still)

Literally nothing matters if we win Wednesday, just keep that in mind.
Nothing worked tonight, absolutely nothing. Adjustments will be made, guys will come ready to play.

It was so very brutal but I will take it over missing the playoffs, winning the lottery, and having to deal with that for years. We either play better in future games and find something or we look horrible and get embarrassed out of the playoffs in 4 games. Either way the team will get a bunch of information and make changes accordingly this summer. I’d take that over the alternative.

I have to start thinking like this.. otherwise, i’ll drive myself crazy lol

I assumed game 1 on the road was a loss… people were supposed?

This is the correct take. Not that hard.

Look that’s all fine and true. Totally get that they have had a brutal week. The play-in tournament, while a massive cash grab by the NBA, is grueling on those teams that participate. But this looked worse than a #1 seed beating the #8 seed. The effort wasn’t there, everything was sloppy af. This has to be on the coaching staff for so poorly preparing the team.
Did we *expect* them to win last night? No, probably not. But expecting them to lose (and being pleasantly surprised if they happened to win) and getting absolutely blown out in a playoff game are two very different things. That was a piss-poor performance, and to make fans stay up until 10pm before they even started the damn game is awful. Believe it or not, it’s totally acceptable for the fan base to be upset by the team’s performance *and* understand that it’s 1 loss.

Sick of all the doomers after every loss talking about the trade. Get the fuck over it
