The biggest mistake the raptors management has ever done was trade norman powell to Portland for gary trent jr. Did yall see what norman brought in game 1 vs kd and Phoenix?! Norman still can ball 1000x better than whatever the Fu** gtj brought since coming to Toronto. Norman went from Portland and balled hard and got rewarded in a trade to the clippers where he's flourishing. Imagine if we had NORMAN POWELL THIS YEAR INSTEAD OF GARY FLOP JR! EXACTLY! Gary trent is the true virus and doesn't deserve to be on this team moving forward. He just wants to opt in and do f all on the court and just secure financially! . OG and Fred are the real heart of the team , then siakim, then the rest. But gary needs to go. And we need to sign players and or trade for the better of the team. There’s a place for GTJ for the right price. Just turned 24 with 5 years in league and when he’s on we know he’s a shooter. Him taking this dip in a contract year can work out to our benefit if he continues to work on other areas of his game. Same time you got Donte Divincenzo making 4.5 mill this year with a player option who given a bigger role could score just as much as GTJ and already gives you more assists/rebounds, same fg%, for way less. All options are on the table

I am on the fence with GTJ because this was go time and GTJ just wasn't up to snuff. Last year, he wasn't up to snuff also during the playoffs. It might be better to cut him loose and let someone else get the opportunity.

GT is not of the Raptors mode, he has no heart or pride, as for FVV in the 3fd and 4th quarters he gets taken over by larger guards, Poeltl is worth keeping had we had him in the beginning of the season we would have won at least 10 more game, he's smart and doesn't waste his energy.

Gary played phenomenal last year because he was starting. I feel like once he gets into his rhythm as a starter he can give us 20 a night easily. I think that the players have lost touch with reality when it comes to how much money they are actually being paid. They make obscene money. The market value's gotten out of hand. Some players show too much of a sense of entitlement. It gets annoying to see. And I used to argue for them back in the day, saying that they should get paid what they're worth. The optics are now completely unjust when people out here work hard for their money day to day yet struggle to keep up with the cost of living. I love the game, but I think a lot of them have lost touch and respect for how blessed a position they're in.
Inconsistent shooter, took a big step backward defensively, injury prone and I really think he has psychological issues with his confidence. I like him but he ain't that nice. We need to cut him loose.
