Here’s a summary of what was said towards the end of the episode on the pending free agents: (paraphrased)
-Blake guesses that Fred will be back, he thinks Fred wants 30 mil per season, Raptors likely want it around ~26 per. With the new CBA, it might be harder for contending teams to do S & Ts.
-He says Poeltl is likely going to be back, he wants ~20 per, Raptors want it ~16-17 per. It’ll look high if it gets done, but that’s the price for a good C in the league.
-Blake speculates that Trent JRs, fit on the team isn’t good despite bringing an element that they lack (3 point shooting), his defense has been not good enough. He questions whether you can get someone for half his likely price (20 mil) who provides almost similar production and ideally you do a S & T with him. Will Lou adds he thinks it’s a 50/50 shot if he’s back or not

If we sign them all to what they want, we just have to get rid of Thad ($1m guaranteed), Porter Jr, and Boucher and the cap situation is fine. Then you evaluate and trade Gary during the year.

Next season we’ll be this years bulls. play in team with no pick

Not looking forward to next season if there isn’t some type of noticeable change to the roster and coaching
guys like yak and GTJ don’t move the needle, do what we got to with them cause we need as many playable pieces as possible. The core is the real question, two of them have significant value.
OGnotAnunoby
Not surprised we are trying to run it back lol
ThatDamnKyle
So… Running it back? Unless we trade Siakam or OG.
I don’t think that is appealing to anyone. We will be capped out with no way to really improve (no current draft pick next year) and in a similar situation next offseason with FAs. I want to see us make some impactful moves.

So your own preferences aside, if the FO plans to bring these three guys back to run it back, what sort of player do you think they’re looking for in the draft?

NN running the starters playoff minutes all season is the issue that needs to be fixed. Above all else how do you close a game when you have zero legs and energy left.
Rajar10
Yayyyy run it back to the 9th seed
DontCheeseMeBro
We will be in no mans land for the next couple of seasons

Gtj body language vs Chicago gave the impression of not wanting to be here tbh

I personally think the team should go the other way but not having a first next year factors I’m I guess.
