Joe Mazzulla on being up 2-0: “It’s a balance. You’re glad you’re up 2-0, but we can also play better. I like that duality.”

Never get too high or too low

Sometimes Joe sounds just like Brad. Then he talks about getting put in chokeholds.

Better than the opposite: being down 0-2 and being unable to play worse

Did they ask about why he had his starters in up 20 with 2 mins left?

Gonna be real…*could* they have played much better outside of effort?.

When they put their foot down, they had a 30 point lead in game 1.

In game 2, Atlanta came out swinging, went up by 11. Mid way through the first quarter through midway through the third quarter, we outscored them by 30.

We’ve had two figurative 30 point leads in the two games we played. The only competitive stretches were when we took our feet off the gas.

THAT is a room for improvement. But when the effort was there? Pretty untouchable. We look good.
