    > So Bane, who wore LeBron XXs in all 46 games after his return this season, certainly **felt some anxiety entering the Grizzlies’ Jan. 20 road game against the Lakers**, the first time Bane faced James in the LeBron XXs. Many NBA players follow an unwritten rule forbidding the wearing of an opponent’s signature shoe while facing that star, but Bane felt like he had no choice.

    > **James broke the ice early in that game, approaching Bane and glancing at his feet**, which were adorned with a pair of the LeBron XXs in a colorway celebrating James’ chapter with the Miami Heat.

    > **”He asked me if I had enough of ’em,” Bane said, “if I needed any more.”**

    > Was James, who was wearing a bright orange and blue pair of his NXXT Gen model, taunting or truly being helpful?

    > “I felt like it was love, for sure,” Bane said. “We moved on. I think we separated and settled our differences.”

To be fair, LeBron prob has the most durable and secure basketball shoe. Makes sense why he’s never really injured, them shits are heavy and your foot doesn’t move at all…. Not to be an old man, but back in my day all basketball shoes were heavy, and I think these light shoes are a big reason why these young guys get hurt so often.

That’s just smart though, we can’t clown a dude for wearing the best shoes for his feet. We can clown his t-rex arms a bit though

  5. sadduckfan

Danny Green used to wear Brons against him too

  6. TheLoneliestMonke

LeFutureLaker 👀 could always use a 3nD star.

Sidenote: Lebron’s truly are for performance

I also feel like a lot of players wore Kobe’s while he was still in the league.

Nothing wrong with wearing the best shoes for you. Very cool of LeBron to ask if he needed more. HumbleKing

Lol they don’t make another shoe. Lol

  9. Santi838

LeDad just making sure his son is prepared for the game

Reading the article, it’s cool vibes from both sides Bane and LeBron honestly. I get the original sentiment though lol

I had no idea this was a thing. Did players follow this rule when playing against Jordan?

  12. YoungBasedHooper

It’s wild because those shows are clearly trash for feet lol

I averaged 20 a game on my travel ball team in junior high wearing the black and blue T-Mac 1’s. The had to switch to a team shoe from eastbay when I got to Varsity my freshman year and those sucked. Can’t remember what they were called

  14. McJumbos

He went to the LeBron James of foot doctors

  15. offscreenchaos

Who are these fragile players who would think this was an issue?

I create a product and you CHOOSE to wear it and give me free ad time for it? Thank you!

I am a playing legend and you want to show me up wearing my own product? My job to make that not happen.

Either angle is a non story.

After all… there is a “me” in “team”

  17. Comfortable_Buddy946

I bet lebron built a kill switch in his shoes just in case this happened. Mark my words Bane will not score 25 points this series! #LeWarCriminal

He has a medical reason why his short arms can’t reach his willy when he wants to jerk it

  19. alexthe-laker

Bron is all class. The first thing he does is ask if Bane had enough shoes going forward

grizzlies fan here, glad yall not clowning my guy. he has a foot/toes issue and he needs surgery in the off-season. bane is a really nice dude. regardless of what people think about Grizzlies basketball, half of it was/is a publicity stunt so people would pay attention to the smallest market team in the NBA and the other half is Brooks/Ja being actual menaces😆

I have flat feet, so I understand what he’s saying.

In HS/college I’ve always wanted to wear Kobe’s. I mean Literally everybody that balled was either in Kobe V’s or VI’s. But I had to rock with the Hyperdunks because the Kobe’s are narrow AF in the midfoot.

I’m just built different. Built poorly in this case.

  22. thinlion01

I have Lebron shoes from last season that my wife bought me and there definitely snug and high top which I appreciate

  23. incredibleamadeuscho

“And I got to send some more to him now.”

“I got to make sure he’s a LeBron athlete now.”

Jokes on Bane. Every pair of Brons has a remote device in the heel of the shoe that releases super Loco glue and the shoe sticks to any surface instantly. Only one person can set that remote device to activate and it’s a kid from Ackron.
