[Burke] Kerr on Draymond: “I’ve said many times we don’t have a single championship without Draymond Green. That’s the truth. He’s crossed the line over the years, and that’s part of it, you know. We will go to bat for Draymond, and go to battle with him every day of the week.”

    *Draymond punches his own teammate*

Kerr- “We will go to bat for Draymond”

That’s not even a joke, that’s exactly how that happened. I’m all for not throwing your players under the bus but at what point does this “going to bat” turn into a lack of accountability in which the attitude is never required to change?

  3. He also [said](https://twitter.com/shaynarubin/status/1648801381833383937?s=46&t=SBW3XJi-eEDBr6FtvDfngg): “There’s no stopping Draymond, you can’t put your arm around him and say, ‘ok, calm down.’ It’s ok, we accept Draymond for who he is and what he stands for because, frankly, it makes us win.”

I’m really glad he said this because A. It’s true and B. The way people are so quick to use every single time Draymond is Draymond to immediately pin him and the organization against one another is so toxic. I don’t know how many times Steve, Bob, Steph, Klay, Loon, etc. have to say this for people to stop jumping to “he gone!”

Is it me or is there a far better way he could’ve worded this?

A-fuckin’-men to that Mr. Kerr! I too, ride with you and this sentiment.

And that’s why all NBA players would want him on their team, regardless of what their fans might think.

  7. dating_derp

All the nephews on this sub talking about trading him. They need to be clear and realistic about it. **They need to say “I don’t care if we never make the finals again for the next 20 years, I want Draymond gone.”** Because that’s the reality of the situation.

there’s a reason why number 30 and number 11 goes to bat for number 23 each and every time.

draymond is who is he is and he’s one of the reasons why we have 4 titles in 8 years.

anybody who thinks otherwise is delusional.

but from what the organization is saying, it’s looking like we will have a pretty fired up squad on thursday and the warriors play the best when their backs are against the wall and have ppl doubting their greatness.

be ready to cash in on those receipts when the warriors are holding up larry for the fifth time

This is the MF problem. Green runs that show. I’m just really disappointed in everybody but Looney and maybe a little bit of klay for his response. And maybe Moody for the look on his face in one of the photos I saw. And yes heard about today on the radio. 100% support. Unbelievable

And everyone going after Draymond would accept him with open arms if they ever traded for him.

So basically, Draymond being an intense, passionate, competitive, defensive savant also leads him to being an athlete that commits dirty plays. You take the good with the bad. I guess the hypocrisy is the most annoying part of all this.

  12. ThurBurtman

Dudes really saying he’s ok with Draymond assaulting other players

  13. Aintnostoppingusnow

I just wanna know how everyone defending Dray would feel if they got punched by their coworker or your coworker exploded and ruined a project your staff was working on and your boss just said “I’m sorry but that’s how he is! Plus he’s really good for our business!” Like….
