  1. Minutes Police 👮👮🏿👮🏻‍♀👮🏽👮🏽‍♂👮🏿‍♀👮🏻🚨🚔… Jonesy- it's all about wins.

  2. This was a necessary step as the fit no longer made sense nurse had successes and also not as successful periods and it's just time for both parties to move on I think both will be better for it

  3. They shouldn’t be rigid on 6’9” principle, as most of the good shooters, especially for 3-pointers, are shorter than this height. I don’t know why, but this is reality.

  4. NBA roster is like F1 car, Lewis Hamilton can objectively be the best driver on circuit but if the car isn't fast enough.

  5. I could be wrong, but I think the majority of Toronto fans want to watch a team that will at least be competitive in games and hopefully make the playoffs. If the team ends up being a team that is expected to get blown out most nights for the next few years, I think viewership is going to drop significantly. Maybe this is something management is okay with. Maybe some of the players won't be okay with this and ask out. Time will tell. Nick Nurse believes that the players need playoff experience, but I was confused after the press conference whether Masai does as well or if we are going full rebuild. Maybe it depends on what players become available?

  6. Look at all the players that NN did not use and went to another team and thrived there. NN was just stubborn and ran the starters to the ground. No player development, assets are not getting value. He has to go!

  7. NN in his first year as head coach had Kawhi who tells him off when he's making the wrong decision. He doesn't have with this group.

  8. You guys apologized alllll season, especially Jonesy. Sometimes looking at the positive can prevent true action.
Dont preach patience when we have put off the inevitable. Its frustrating and there should be a venting.

Masai saying the team was hard to watch this season was VALIDATING. I felt like a bad fan because I didnt support the team but I felt the team wasnt being honest with us. Pascal kept saying 'winning changes everything'…like what? You gotta get mad at losing, dude. You gotta feel those feelings and integrate it, if you wanna win in sport and life. Thats how mentality stuff like mamba mentality, work.

    Nick wasnt mad.
    OG wasnt mad.
    GTJ wasnt mad.
    Fred wasnt mad.
    Pascal wasnt mad.
Get mad, use that energy. Pain is the greatest teacher. When the Celtics were playing selfish, Marcus Smart called out Tatum and Brown for being selfish. This Raptor team has no teeth like that, nor the resiliency to survive an internal conflict like that.

  9. Sherm hits the nail on the head. 'Selfishness needs to be cut out"
    16:50
Fred's whole mantra is 'bet on yourself'. We cant build a team around that. Nick and Fred's relationship was a huge issue these last 2 seasons.

  10. These guys are too corporate and always toe the line, and never speak the truth until it’s obvious. Not a mention of Nick Nurse last week, but today they’re saying how they knew someone was gonna go lol

  11. It should become more clearer over time that this firing had very little to do with roster that NN had to work with and more about NN's individual NBA coaching career goals ie money. NN seemed to be fostering an incredibly toxic work environment behind the scenes one where he's not communicating directly with many players in private, sending assistant coaches home without advising the front office, putting up a wall between assistant coaches and players, disregarding the front office's playing time-player development concerns, becoming increasingly unhinged and eventually quiet quitting a few weeks before the regular season ended. I find it very believable that Klutch Sports got in his ear and NN started to coach more so to get his guys better stats for upcoming contracts (especially his Klutch Sports brother FVV), while putting off the development of the younger and/or bench players, so that he may get fired and have the opportunity elsewhere for a bigger payday.

  12. Confusing messages about the direction of the team. I hope they really active in the off-season to shake things up.
I think getting the roster done then getting a coach would be better so the coach knows what he's getting into and develops a playstyle with the new players. I don't like the idea of getting a coach and making him deal with new players on the fly.
