Lakers need to close this out in 5. Going to a game 6 is too risky. Also mo bamba needs to get more minutes cuz Rui and lebron should never be guarding a center and especially not a good center like jjj.
It's also the KD factor… Russ ALWAYS plays up when he plays against KD because he is still 100% fueled like a jilted lover, I don't give a shit how he tries to deny it, it still matters to him.
Clippers have stars that don’t play because of injuries or other problems. Lakers only play great when pressed.
I'm glad you admit your bias against Russ. The media eviscerated the man since he joined the Lakers to an unfair degree. Say what you want about Russ but in a league full of "part timers" with load management and lack of effort, his energy is a breath of fresh air. Ring or not, he's a HOFer and deserves his respect.

Lakers did exactly what they were supposed to do which was use Dillon Brooks mindset against him. They left him open and said "you score 40 and beat us"
The problem with Russ and Lebron was the fact that neither of them are great 3pt shooters and it clogged the paint where both are most effective. One of them would have needed to shoot 40% or better to make it work and neither are capable of shooting that good consistently at this stage. Both are still all time great players though and can be very effective with shooters around them.

One thing I'm kinda concerned about is Bron's place and involvement on offence. It feels like plays designs for him are mostly ISOs on perimeter or high/low post for him to create shot for himself. I see less actions designed for Lebron's drive and kicks as well as some sets like getting ball at elbow and team going into movements to create space around him. IDK, hope it changes sooner than later

Rui Hachimura has always had a lot of upside in my opinion. I thought so when he was drafted. He is now getting the requisite IQ to use his gifts properly thanks to LeBron. It amazes me that he has been in the league this long and just got a good coach to tweak his shooting form. You would think all franchises would be bringing in shooting coaches to get everyone to the top of their game.
People keep forgetting Westbrook had the Thunder in rhe playoffs for years after KD left. He also got the Wizards to the playoffs before joining the Lakers.
