[Shams] Warriors are bringing Draymond Green off the bench today in his return from suspension for Game 4 vs. Kings, sources tell me and @anthonyVslater. Golden State’s Game 3 winning starters were Stephen Curry, Jordan Poole, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, Kevon Looney.

I like the move, we need more offense on the floor. Teams just blitz the hell out of curry if he’s the only ball handler out there.

The risk is we NEED Looney to play at a high level on the defensive end and rebounding.

Wow. Didn’t think this would actually happen. I mean the logic of staggering Looney and Draymond is clear but definitely still a big step.

Kerr actually did it, the madman

  4. Robotsaur

Interesting, I saw people discussing this possibility but didn’t think Kerr would do it

Hopefully Draymond continues to play with intensity and it should be fine

Kerr finally taking things seriously. Love to see it. Spacing >>>

Poole and Draymond together too many TOs

Benching Draymond Green of all people in a playoff game is probably a tough decision but it was a needed decision. Looney and Dray can not share the court together this series out the gate and I wouldn’t want them to share the court together out the gate vs LAL either. Looney’s rebounding and defense against Sabonis is a bigger factor rn, so good adjustment from Kerr

Wow I didn’t think they would actually do this! Even though they likely need to.

4 out until the Kings can defend it properly

Thank god. Dray is no longer good enough of a distributor or offensive player to keep the ball out of Steph’s hands and clog the paint

  12. Holy shit they really are doing the “one big man can be on the floor” plan

  13. c0gvortex

Definitely didn’t expect Steve to go out the gate immediately rotating Dray and Loon at the 5. Man means business

I think this change will turn the series around

If Loon can stay out of foul trouble, this will work well. The thing with foul trouble, at least as it pertains to Loon, the fucking refs need to call the game fairly. I’ve lost track of the volume of fouls Loon has accumulated on bullshit calls. The refs don’t respect Looney’s game and constantly call him for tickey-tack nonsense.

Steph Curry set the precedent last year when he came off the bench after returning from his injury even though he didn’t have to necessarily come off the bench.

Although Draymond is his own character, all of the team has no room to bitch and complain about coming off the bench instead of starting if it benefits the team as a whole.

Matching loon with sabitchmadeonus as much as possible, is ideal.

Steve Kerr secretly on Reddit and saw my comment after game 3. Lol

Kerr about to surprise us all with a 5 guard lineup

Stay locked. Same focus. Let’s get 2-2. Kings will come out swinging. Keep monk the same

Apparently it was Dray’s idea with Kerr. Excited to see how this pans out !

Draymond mentioned in his podcast that he was “ready to come back and help no matter what his role is” so I thought it might’ve been a possibility but pretty cool to see it actually happened. He seemed fine with it too, though I’m sure even if he wasn’t he kinda has to deal with it because he got himself suspended lol but I think he understands and just wants to win

  22. youngmostafa

Staggering him and looney is the better decision for this series honestly

    Good move kerr

I feel like this will help Draymond so he’s not pressing too much and too aggressive. I could see a universe where he starts and is just doing too much. See the flow of the game and then come in with a vision and that initial adrenaline gone.
