Darvin Ham on Rui: “I don’t think he’s scratched the surface…This kid has All-Star skill. He’s a(n) All-Star type of talent.”

Ham also says when the Lakers first acquired Rui Hachimura, Phil texted him and said, “Let Me have Rui…”

This is a weird question but I want to know the answer. Does anyone know if assistant coaches can win coach of the year? I’d assume not.

Rui is dope. If he stays here another couple years, he really can build into that shit. Be around greatness and find his own greatness within it.

Should get more than 22 minutes then coach

Great interview! Ham is absolutely hyped about Rui lol he went on and on

Hopefully Rui get more minutes. Maybe start him over dlo and put dlo in the 2nd unit.

    Agree,
Rui has potential and tools to be an all star.
I wish he would continue to work on his game and stay as Lakers for his whole career. Go Lakers!

Kawaii Leonard gonna light up the league next season, hopefully in a Lakers jersey. Please re-sign the dude, Jeanie.

I see him potentially reaching GSW Wiggins levels if he can become consistent

He’s literally Kawhi but plays basketball

Rui has everything needed to be a crazy player. His frame, he’s strong AF, can shoot, dunk, block. Him learning from bron now is scary if he picks it up.

If you really believe that coach, give him more fucking minutes you freaking potato

Funny he was given one of his famous DNPs. Who cares what this man thinks?

Honestly, watching him play I believe it. Hopefully he gets more comfortable in his role and opens up his offense a bit. I don’t think his 29 point game last week was a fluke. He has excellent fundamentals he just needs to be more aggressive.

With his strength, athleticism and size this man should be living at the free throw line and he would be if he was more aggressive.

Him and Reaves got all star potential imo
