“I think he’s gonna be on the move. I think he’s gonna end up in the eastern conference.” –

mentions Miami, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Toronto, and Brooklyn as potential landing spots for Damian Lillard

I am not sure how I feel about this. Two years ago, Dame would have been absolutely worth it. But now with the ascension of Maxey, getting Dame will also mean moving Maxey.
Plus who would want to pay a 35-year-old Dame $60 mil.
I don’t know, I feel like this version of James Harden is better for Embiid and Maxey. As good as Dame is, small guards tend to decline rapidly when they lose a little bit of burst, see Kemba, Iverson, and Isiah Thomas.

I do see him fitting like a glove in Brooklyn if they can keep their starting 4 and slot dame at the PG spot. I’m not sure what the ceiling of that team is though.
I would rather have James than Dame. His playmaking is really elite. Dame probably gives you more scoring but not that much tbh. And it’s not even like Dame has been healthier.
We don’t have the pieces to get him, Atlanta or Brooklyn would be a dumb place for him to land, I don’t know enough about Miami to say anything about them.
He’s a phenomenal basketball player, but I want Maxey. I’m guessing he ends up in Miami, but that’s just a gut feeling.
Maxey is not untouchable but I find Lillard an incredibly lame superstar in terms of personality. Not going to happen anyway
