  1. Mfers forgot that Tim Duncan was the SYSTEM that Pop ran with. Shaq knew it caused he saw firsthand how Timmy just bumped through him and Kobe, denied their b2b chips. Timmy was never the guy that would put crazy numbers in the regular season, but he can do it consistently on his own will.

  2. No lie I would've loved to see rookie Manu as the man… OMG the career he would've had being the main focal point.

  3. Great take by both you and Shaq. McGrady has some good points, this was not it. That’s 03 season, Duncan went off.

  4. Tracy stop the spurs might make the playoffs but when 5 rings Tracy really
Maybe if Tracy got to play that Tim then maybe he’d have a different opinion

  5. That Spurs 2003 without Tim on the team would of been in the lottery the next year .
David was past his prime and injured most of the time.
Tony was a sophomore and very inconsistent.
Manu was a rookie coming off the bench as a role player .
And Jackson was a role player .

  6. You see all these also ran players who never had the career success that they wanted, trying to tear down the Spurs and elevate themselves. Where are the NBA Greats talking bad about the Spurs? Someone post a link where a top 50 player talks shit about the Spurs. There aren’t any, enough said.

  7. Tim Duncan was the teams defensive anchor as well. They were always contenders because of him. When he retired it was different and you didn't feel like they were always contenders. Even with LA, kawhi, tony and manu it still didnt seem like they had championship expectations but they did end up having a good season.

  8. bruh believe it or not i think 2005 could make playoffs without duncan. but 03 couldn’t have

  9. I hate to say it like this but you have to read through the lines of what's really going on. They're saying that the number one draft pick this year is 1 in a generation lifetime talent so they're doing everything they can to not let San Antonio get That number one pick so they're gonna be putting a lot of negative reporting out there about the spurs.

  10. Tim Duncan was available every night. Anthony davis has maybe played one third of tim duncan's career in actual game play

  11. "They have a well oiled machine"
    "Yeah, Tim Duncan"
    Shaq killed his argument there.

  12. 2003 Spurs have a 20 year Old TP, Bruce Bowern and Stephen Jackson as their best players not named Duncan.
Robinson was 37 and averaging 8 points. Manu was a rookie getting 7 per game.

Saying they're still winning and making the playoffs is beyond retarded.

  13. Lmfao this is a perfect example of ppl apparently even PLAYERS getting caught up in the media narrative even when it doesn’t make any sense 😂 “well oiled machine” in 2003!?!?!?? When Parker wasn’t even old enough to drink in the US and baby manu??? And robinson on his last leg???? McGrady just comes off as an old sad player who is upset he was never good enough to beat out all time greats.

  14. Timmy lead the spurs in 4/5 categories in the 07 finals , Parker won fmvp solely based on exposing and out scoring Lebron , Tracy mcgrady was a system player for timmy in 2013 😭 he need to sit tf back and remember that 3-1 lead he choked away to Detroit

  15. Robert Horry, who won NBA titles with the Spurs in 2005 and 2007, has also done revisionist popping off about Tim Duncan.

Even in the 2014 NBA finals, with Tim Duncan past his prime and nearing retirement, Tim averaged 15.4 points and 10 rebounds. Of course, that finals MVP was deservedly Kahwi Leonard.

  16. This is why I don’t have a problem with Shaq being ranked a little bit higher than Tim when it comes to all time ranks by these media outlets. Cause I know that at the end the of the day Shaq will always give props to Tim Duncan for being the best power forward to ever play the game. The spurs without Tim Duncan is a mediocre team. Tim was dominant for 12+ years. Tracy couldn’t stay on the court…

  17. Sorry to hear that. I started paying attention to TMac when he was a Spur. He seemed like a real stand-up guy and I like him. But this take is uncalled for.

  18. MVP is about an all around player ! Yes you can score a lot ( like ball huggers , forwards like you Tracy, Kobe etc) but you don’t play great Defense?! Then you’re not complete bruh! All those players complaining are ball huggers !! #stophatingtimmy

  19. There is only one or 2 guys I would take over Timmy, but this guys that aren’t on the all time list want to get the same respect as the top 10 GTFOH. Timmy is on everyone top10 list, and he is the definition of a HoF
