History lesson time

The “Knickerbocker” name comes from the pseudonym used by Washington Irving in his book A History of New York. This name became applied to the descendants of the original Dutch settlers of what later became New York. This term refers to such trousers as crop trousers or pantaloons tucked beneath the knee: they were an integral part of the image of New World’s settlers.

Bring it back. Roll out next game with this and hyper short shorts to psych out the Cavs

Always wanted this guy to be our mascot and be on the court.

The entire history of NYC is pretty damn interesting ever since the Dutch settled it. A lot of it isn’t really celebrated or talked up enough.

With all due respect to the history of New Amsterdam, I would like it more if there was a guy like Mr Met but with a head like a basketball and he was Mr Knick.

I’d love to see them use this logo at least once for throwback merch or jerseys. It’s hilarious. Diedrich Knickerbocker balling out
