The Bucks are starting to feel somethings brewing. Two years removed from winning a championship, they’ve since gone back to back years without making it to the conference finals.
Giannis loves that city. Those fans love him and he’s given them an MVP and another championship…but he’s unhappy. He’s still in his prime, an emeritus MVP, and how can the Bucks get better? No draft picks, no cap space. Sure you could trade middleton or Jrue, but what’s even out there?
On top of that, things seem stagnant with Budenholzer. The were questions about his job before they won in ‘21. That seemed to give him a few more years.

Giannis decides it’s time for a change. He needs a change of scenery and would like to be traded. The Bucks, while saddened, feel they owe it to the hero of Milwaukee fans, the man who brought a championship.
Giannis has to make some decisions. He’s always played in the East. Maybe he should head West. Does he want to go to a fresh team and try to build? Somewhere like OKC or Houston? Or maybe he can go to LA or go to the young Kings.
The draft lottery gives Portland the #2-3 pick. They’ve lost the Wembenyama contest.
But now they’re hearing rumors that Giannis is looking to move. Dame and Giannis are friends. He could be that next step the team has longed to make.

Now, it’s not a perfect package, but it’s not a terrible return for the Bucks. They now have a serviceable Center, a good young guard, and two 1st rd picks (#2-3, 23) in a draft that, even outside of Wembenyama, has some good talent in the top 5. On top of that, they get to honor the wishes of a player who’s already done so much for them.
I think this is what will happen. If enough people think it, it has to happen. Triples makes it safe, Triples is best.

I assume we’re trading those two plus our picks for the next 700 years?
