[KnicksMuse] The Cavs traded traded Markkanen, Sexton, Agbaji, 3 unprotected 1sts, and 2 pick swaps for one player. The Knicks got clowned for not getting him. Knicks just beat the Cavs in 5 games, and still have all of their picks/assets. WHO’S CLOWNING US NOW???

Brunson is the diamond in the rough that the Knicks were missing

I believe they call it poetic justice. We got the job done without him. Shout out to the FO to not giving in to asshole ainge

No matter what happens after this, I just hope this puts the Donovan Mitchell bullshit to rest

Not only that, but here’s how it’s looking. They lose first round in 2023, now they have Mitchell under contract for 2024 and 2025 before a player option he’s no doubt going to opt out of (why? Cause he will be earning $37m final year and with projected cap spikes unless he drops off tremendously he will make more than that as a free agent).

And they traded 2025, 2027 and 2029 unprotected and swaps in 2026 and 2028.

So, the Cavs literally have 2 more years to I dare say make it to the ECF or Mitchell I predict is gone.

This series was huge. The Cavs were likely expecting a 2nd round playoff appearance, and now, nothing but a long offseason to think about how they just got spanked.

This just sums up why this is such a big win for us Knicks fans. Fuckin gold. We got all our assets boi boi!! Gotta be able to pick up a big time player in the off-season

We got clowned for the Kristaps trade, we got clowned for losing out on Kwahi, we got clowned for not winning the Zion draft lottery, we got clowned for not signing KD and Kyrie, and we got clowned for not trading for Spida. What did that leave us with? A really great young team and the final laugh.

  7. and look at all the potential draft picks we have coming to us from dallas and washington

I know Donovan dropped 28 pts today, but they were empty points. Dude really didn’t leave a mark in the 4th and was generally disappointing this series. Things really did work out in the end for us since we got killer Jalen and RJ got opportunities to become what he is right now.

  9. it will even better if we get the mavs pick next year and it ends up being a break out start Then, we take the wizards pick and flip that into another star.

RJ also came up HUGE in the latter half of the series. Hoping he rides the 🌊into miami

We traded 0 first round picks and 0 players for 16 playoff wins. I like that deal.

If there’s a shitty ‘there’ to be, we’ve been there in the not too distant past. Decades of salary cap purgatory, draft asset mismanagement, top free agents overlooking us as a destination… and especially our star player being acquired by a demanded trade that mortgages our long-term future, and then holding us hostage with an opt-out…

So for any Cavs fans lurking who weren’t talking shit about the Mitchell situation all year, I feel for you right now. We’ve been there, and it fucking sucks.
