[Erik Slater] Nets beat reporter for ClutchPoints Erik Slater brings up an interesting point as to how the 2021 Nets-Bucks Series changed the course of league history & narratives.

Post was removed by r/NBA. Not a Nets fan, but felt like I had to share it here. It’s water under the bridge now but in the wake of another postseason failure by Giannis I felt like I had to bring it up.

“I talked about this on my podcast today, but Harden and Kyrie’s injuries in the 2021 Nets-Bucks series is a historic sliding doors moment:

If they don’t get hurt Giannis likely doesn’t have a ring. His postseason track record was a huge knock up to that point.

Budenholzer is out in MIL.

KD, Kyrie, Harden are all Nets legends. Crazy how much luck plays a part in this stuff.”

Giannis is a shoe size away from entering his 11th NBA season without a title.

I’m sorry, but the fact that we’re still talking about this lol. Like, we lost. It sucked, but it’s over now. The “shoe size” away from a chip talking point is a bulbous nub now because it’s being used so much.

Game of inches and we came up short. Old news

Wild how Giannis is considered a failure, shit there are some people in fucked up places who would love to “fail” like him lol does anyone call Jokic a failure for never even getting their? Sports media, vocal fans, and armchair GMs have really been showing themselves lately. It’s like many cant appreciate greatness until it’s too late
