This is dope. When they say direct to consumer streaming they mean pay monthly for all Suns games or Suns home games? Does the home teams own the streaming rights? Not sure how all that works

Congrats to suns fans on being free from Bally

That’s some great news for Phoenix sports fans! Now they can catch all the action both on TV and online.

> “We’re not focusing on money. We’re focusing on winning, success and taking care of fans, taking care of the community,” new team owner Mat Ishbia said. “What happens is you always end up making money. It always works out.
>”We’re going to have more fans than ever before. We’re going to have more people who will have eyeballs on Devin Booker and Deandre [Ayton] and Kevin Durant, Chris [Paul] and cheer the team on. And more people buying merchandise because they’re bigger fans.”
Oh hell yeah. This is how you make money. Build and expand for even greater profits down the line, rather than instant paydays. I love it.

Wow imagine Sarver making a move like this? Me neither. Congrats Suns fans, seems like you’ve finally got an owner who cares about winning.

Every sports team should have a local affiliate. Cavs used to have one too before Dan Gilbert’s greed got in the way.
Also if you want to watch them on the go I’d suggest getting a HDHomeRun DVR you hook it up to your Ethernet and Antenna and you can stream on the go.

I know it’s going to be for free on a streaming app but I don’t understand what over the air TV means. Hopefully this has major success cause then other sports teams will follow.

Someone wants a new public-funded arena.

I won’t be watching (because I’m not there), but he made me a fan.

Now they just needs to bring back Roundball Rock and the intro of the flying sun entering the arena and we are set!

As someone who experienced poverty as a kid, NBA basketball was always out of reach. You had to wait until late January to watch any non Christmas games. Local teams were cable only and ABC would until damn near the all star break just give us 1-2 games a week.
I had to follow the league by picking up newspapers and watch box scores. Props to the Suns for doing this!

We used to have local Mavs games on everyone once in a while but it seems like they stopped it a few years ago. Now with YouTube tv I can’t even watch local games, even when they’re aired on NBA tv. Such a joke… Good for Phoenix.

I would wish this for the Nuggets but no way a Walmart affiliated team is going to walk away from Altitude.
Even if it destroys the fan base here. I became a Sonics fan watching OTA basketball and able to watch almost 100% of the games free.
Walking away from my Nuggets season tickets because there isn’t the excitement here and it’s tough to sell the tickets unless it’s certain teams. When they were on all the providers it was much easier.

Does this mean like Suns games will be free on Amazon Prime? Cause if so…they are will be my new fav team 😂.

This works well for the NFL. That league knows how to make money. Access equals $$$.

Friendly reminder to cancel Bally Sports+ if you’ve been paying monthly. Rest of Playoffs are on national TV. LFG!!

If they go thru the DTC route [this](https://www.tvtechnology.com/news/la-clippers-launch-dtc-streaming-service-clippervision) can potentially occur
Diamond the owner of Bally sports just put out a statement, looks like they’re gonna try to sue the Suns.
I hope Mat destroys them
