Making the case part 1: The San Antonio Spurs should just run it back

On this episode of Locked On Spurs, host Jeff Garcia welcomes Sweep The League’s Rudy Campos to make the case why the San Antonio Spurs should not make any major roster moves ahead of next season and just run the same team back.

Also, we discuss a hypothetical about the Spurs trading for the No. 5 pick in the NBA Draft 2023.

  1. I agree with Rudy that we should run it back, for continuity sake. Just add another potential star with the top 5 pick.

On the Detroit question, why would you trade a talented SF, with four years experience for the same player with no experience? You said yourself it’s not a stud class past top 3, which is why the Pistons would trade the pick. So, why would we want it either?

Also, Keldon is a great locker room guy, on a very reasonable, team-friendly contract that’s descending over time. Why give that away for an unproven commodity?
