I think it’s the same that I’ve spoken about in the past – John’s name, it comes up a lot. He’s a good player. It should. A lot of teams value him, and we have a lot of value in him.
We’re just not quite there yet on how we’re going to piece all of this together. We do have to take some time to celebrate, but then also to look back and figure out, ‘OK, what are the next steps like? What is the pathway with a particular group for a particular system that we’re implementing for us to take the next step. We need to take time to reflect on that.

I’m not saying the season was a failure, mostly because I didn’t have high expectations.
But what does he mean by “take some time to celebrate”? What was there to celebrate about?
I love John Collins, but they’re 100% gonna trade him for next to nothing in order to duck the luxury tax. Luckily he somewhat upped his value in these last couple games so we might be able to recoup a guy like Harrison Barnes possibly. But yea he’s basically gone and he will be great on his next team, so be ready for all the huerter-esque comments next season.
