I feel bad for Desmond Bane. He seems like the only one of the young grizzlies that seems like he wants the team to grow and learn from their mistakes.

I believe some Grizzles players learned a great lesson. That trash talking should only be reserve if you team can back it up. But if you team has not won anything it is best to be humble and let your game on the floor do the talking. That is how Championship Teams do it. The Grizzlies have not won anything. Regular season wins just gets you in position for the playoffs. But if your team has not won a playoffs series in three years and especially has not won the chip. Then your team season is a failure. Three years in a row and you cannot win a playoff series. NBA teams do not compete just to win Regular Season games but to win a NBA Title which proves that team is the best team of that season. Franchises like the Lakers, Warriors, Bucks that have won NBA titles can talk trash if they want to because they can back it because they won NBA Titles however you do not see those teams talking trash to their opponents because they have nothing to prove and let their game do the talking. If you need trash talking to motivate yourself then you lack the confidence that you can beat that team. Don't trash talk until you won something to back it up. Regular season games or being number 2 in the standing don't count. Only the Chip gives you the respect and privilege to trash talk however you will observe once you won the Chip you won't need to trash talk since you are a Champion and that is the only thing that matters and the ultimate goal of each NBA team, anything else is a failed season and your trash talk back fires on you, as it is happening now and which you have to hear until about it all summer long.
I see the emergence of a leader. Now just give that energy to your team.
