So many people on here defend Chase its kinda crazy. When’s the last time you didn’t hear a WARRIOORS chant at Oracle, or people not wearing the FREE playoffs shirt?
tyrusthomas11
The last great true Oracle crowds were in 2013. Been going to games since 2003 and Chase just isn’t the same experience.
poplockanddropit21
Oracle would be ass right now too. It was ass when KD came because of overpriced tickets.

Blame the league bruh Luxury tax is designed to do this

I’ve been to Chase several times and it’s definitely louder than you hear on TV BUT anyone who says it’s comparable to Oracle is smoking that good crack. And honestly, what they say about the crowd being a lot of older rich people is true. They just don’t really go crazy for the team like you would see all the time at Oracle. And especially going from Golden 1 to Chase? Like transitioning to a graveyard, the energy levels aren’t even close
sugarwax1
It sounded loud on tv. Don’t blame the crowd on this one, the team killed the energy not vice versa. It’s the playoffs, you can only depend on the crowd for so much.
I don’t doubt the courtside fans are horrible at Chase though. Even Joe looked happier in Oakland.
rmz-01
OP is right. Chase Center tickets are so obscenely expensive that only tech execs can afford. At best they’re there to watch Steph make 3s, at worst they have no clue what they’re watching. No energy, no cheering, no life in that stadium. RIP Oracle…
Dynasty_30
Oracle was the same after 2016
banned_after_12years
Techies being scapegoated for bad play. Techies aren’t out here turning the ball over. Like Jordan Poole would have put on a clinic at the Oracle or something. Lame ass take.
DefinitionDry1490
It was pretty loud in the 2nd half especially. Not pre chip Oracle and probably not what I imagine Sac is like. I think they pipe in too many “de fense” chants which do nothing.
The Warriors played awful, Oracle wouldn’t have made much of a difference.
Oh_no_bros
From what I hear it actually gets damn loud, the broadcast just doesn’t capture it well/turns it down. On radio the crowd gets roaring whenever theres momentum. However not wearing the shirt is unacceptable cmon guys, there’s almost no reason not to.

These stupid fucking posts happen every year. And surprisingly they only happen after we lose, when we win no one has shit to say about it

Bring back the Oracle

Game 4 was loud and had great energy but I think it was because all the rich people went to game 3 instead

My favorite part of not being able to afford tickets is watching the games on tv and seeing groups of people sitting courtside but just chatting amongst themselves the whole time, while completely ignoring the game. It’s as if they are just out having coffee somewhere.

100%. I was told to sit down at a game at tip off and after a couple big 3s. Everyone stood and went crazy at Roarcle.

Oakland fans still bitter about the move. News at 11.
ggwoohee
To be fair, yesterdays Warriors came in and delivered a performance that screamed bad vibes.
HOWEVER As someone who grew up going to see the Warriors get pounded in Oakland, was around through our last good runs at Oracle and who knows goes to games at Chase (I was there for game 3). No its not the TV not picking up sound, or anything like that. The energy just isn’t the same. It sucks to admit because this is the “Bays Team” we are all one fandom blah blah. The people going to Chase are largely not the same people who filled up Oracle. There are several reasons for this (fans getting priced out, techies, SF crowd just isn’t Oakland), and how big they are is up for debate, but the two things I know for a fact are:
1. Chase crowds are NOT Oracle crowds and never will be. The demographic has changed. 2. Warriors HAVE to play better and cannot come out that flat, quiet crowd or not.
joomcizzle
We left Oracle 4 years ago and y’all are still whining about it.
Seriously get over it already lol. They aren’t going back to Oakland anytime soon.
With success comes a more diverse crowd and increased prices. This is common for any team. Stop acting like the Warriors are the only team this is happening to.
klizmik
100% agree. Oracle was something else. Every Chase game I been to hasn’t compared even once. Real, passionate fans are priced out.

Vast-Cheetah-3755
The ticket prices are responsible for that dog shit crowd not the location. If ticket prices were the same at oracle you’d get the same audience too.
GreyBoyTigger
Oracle was a real home court advantage, even when the Dubs sucked. Chase’s main upside is the acoustics that make it easier for less people to make more noise, the neighborhood isn’t an industrial wasteland, and the food is a million times better
Dand3r
I’m so tired of these posts. The constant sh*tting on Warriors fans. I was at the game last night. I was cheering my ass off and the rest of fans were too. The entire first quarter the fans were involved on every single offensive and defensive possession. There were multiple warriors chants.
Watching the game was incredibly frustrating. What were the fans supposed to do watching Poole fumble and slide out of bounds? Or Curry and Poole missing multiple free throws? Or all the dumbass turnovers? Or the refs? Or… Kerr’s worst coached game of the year?
I’m done with this hate on the fans. I’m not some “techie” and if techies are going to the game to see their home town team, that’s amazing. We didn’t have this in 2006. We want to fill those seats so we can pay for our players’ contracts.

This isn’t even hating. When ticket prices go from $20 to $300 over the span of a decade, the crowd is going to shift towards those with more money. It does kinda suck.

FACTS FACTS FACTS.
The move to SF was great for Lacob’s bank account but in times like yesterday the team needed a home court advantage and it wasn’t there. 60% of those fans at Chase yesterday went to their cars and put on their Lakers jersey for the evening game. I’m a Bay Area kid I remember how it was when the Ws sucked. Everyone had a “second team” and it was mostly the Lakers. Could never be me.

I remember the days the announcers on tv couldn’t even hear each other at Oracle. East Bay fans get down!!
Rich ppl go bc of FOMO or whatever. Lacob made a mistake in moving the team to the city. Too many distractions. Too many casual fans.
Going to oracle … you’d turn up and get down!! Least that’s how it was when I went last, which is before they moved. I got priced out at Chase 🥲
