The 3 Routes The LA Clippers Can Go This Off-Season

The LA Clippers have begun the off-season and big questions are being asked and big decisions are to be made this summer. They have several routes they can go with the team. Either they run it back with largely the same team hoping for better health, they re-tool by getting a 3rd star or adding better depth, and the last one is to rebuild completely.

In this episode, die hard Clippers fan Darian Vaziri explores all 3 options and their pros and cons. He explores the consequences and pros of running it back, 3 ways to re-tool, and what re-building could entail.

  1. I'm from Atlanta, FUCK NO. Bring in Nick Nurse. Trade Powell playoff choking ass and picks for Pascal Siakim.

  2. Nurse will start T Mann PG Kawhi Pascal Zu. Bench, Bones Plumlee and whoever else……Nurse is defense first, WE DONT MEED OFFENSE, we need defense….Pascal n TMann makes this team guaranteed Title.

  3. option #4!! keep the same team.. they all become trans and play in the WNBA instead.. and hope that PG or Kwahi could stay heathly enough to win a chip against the ladies.. plus even tho most their home games are only 60% attended.. they would still pull in more fans then any other WNBA team.. un fortunately you would still be the basement team in LA since the Sparks have a few chips already.. but atleast you could hang up a few more selfies in the arena.. 😂 but honestly it would be INSANITY to try and run it back again.. got to make some big changes..

  4. If you want to utilize russ in its full potential, give him an athletic center that can be a lob threat.

His combo with adams in okc, capela in houston before the trade, and gafford in wizards was lethal. Athletic centers thrive with russ.

  5. Norm is a borderline star himself, he’s off limits unless a trade can get a major upgrade – if we can’t keep Russ we need another solid point guard. I’m also ok with trading 1 star for a younger healthier one

  6. What is your opinion on getting Jerami Grant as our new starting 4?

  7. Darian, your concern about the Intuit Dome not selling out is overstated. Much like Camden Yards in Baltimore in the early 90s ushering in a new area of "modern retro" ballparks, there is no question that Ballmer's new building will be more than adequately filled based on novelty alone.
Now whether or not sellouts can be SUSTAINED is a more appropriate question. That of course will hinge on LAC's continued success. But don't forget that a disproportionate number of opponents' fans attend clipper games anyway, so even then I seriously doubt attendance numbers will dip at all

  8. They should first rid themselves of Ty Lue's BS, and hire Nick Nurse while a coach of his caliber is still available. Only then you can talk about retooling because it's the coach who ultimately decides how players will be utilized.
With this much talent on the roster, this team should have made the playoffs even without a star like Doc did, or 4-5 seed with PG playing without Kawhi. But with Ty Lue, they need Kawhi to save even the regular season and it's just not gonna work if the goal is to win a title. Might as well just rebuild if they still want to keep Ty Lue.

  9. I wouldn’t run it back it’s been 4 years and nothing to show

  10. One of our two stars will have to take a lesser amount this up coming season to free up some cap… Morris got to go tho

  11. 1) the only solution next season is to TANK! i want to retain TMannXBonesHyland

    or

    2) I would get CLUTCH players like BRUNSON for either KAWHI or PG

  12. by the way CLIPPERS arena fans sucks! How can you cheer your “home” team with weak ass fans 😂

  13. trade kawahi, he's been milking this load management too long, you cant even rely on him to be healthy
