  1. The good luck with “those guys” was a reference to the reporters waiting for Ujiri in the press conference he was walking into- not the roster. You completely missed it and does not say much for your understanding. Disappointing.

  2. It was time for Nurse to go, but Masai & Bobby constructed a poor roster

  3. For a team that is known for development…the guys that needed time and development hardly got any run (Dalano, Dowtin, Flynn, Koloko). I understand it can be hard to win and develop at the same time but they didn't run into that when they were developing Siakam, FVV and Poeltl. That being said, they had good leaders in DeMar and Lowry so maybe the leadership role is an adjustment for Siakam and FVV too but still…as a Coach, you get to decide who plays and how long. Starters consistently playing 35+ minutes, even in losing games isn't really necessary, especially when you have players on the bench that need to develop and gain experience. I like Nick Nurse but this season was a weird one to say the least. I agree with Masai when he said this year's Raptors didn't feel like the same Raptors we're accustomed to.

  4. So totally agree with your Assessment of Nick Nurse. He also deprives the younger players of developing into better skilled players, so obvious. Do not be surprised if one of the assistant coaches Adrian Griffin – good choice or Rico Hines – possibility or Jerry Stackhouse, – former Raptor G-league head coach and won a championship with them. – my choice, and former Celtics coach who has a good chance though his issue with the Celtics may cause some hesitation.

  5. I think the divide between nurse and the front office is fairly clear. He tried to win every single game when the front office was okay with them not winning as long as young guys get some run. And they were loseing while also not developing anyone because he run a 7 man rotation…

  6. Nurse was a very good defensive coach but his offensive playcalling is pure read and react. just letting the players do it themselves. Which worked with kyle but it won't with most players.

  7. Raptors App : " In five seasons (2018-2023) at the helm of the Raptors, Nurse had the best winning percentage in team history with a 227-163 (.582)) record, made three playoff appearances, winning two Atlantic Division and one Eastern Conference Title, and the 2019 NBA Championship".

I guess the organization wants more and that okay !

  8. Making an issue of Nurse wearing an branded cap of all things sounds petty. Who cares! In fact he used a % proceeds from sales of his merch to go towards his Nick Nurse Foundation which did some great things in the local community, one of which was support school music peograms. Much ado about nothing!

  9. They contradict themselves in the first few minutes with their anti Nick Nurse agenda. Saying he brought it on himself by talking about his future, but they all knew he was gone in March. 🤡🤡🤡
He's over achieved with the squad he's been given. Coach always the scapegoat for unrealistic media, fans, front office.

  10. As a Raptors fan, I appreciate the honest and candid. Raptor fans need to here this about their saviour. I’ve always saw him as overrated.

  11. OMG most of you are idiots. NN is a terrible coach that should have been fired 4 years ago. Hopefully they can cut their losses. Wow! I guess Masai deserves some blame. Nurse is one of the worst coaches ever seen. Okay maybe blowing out of proportion, but NN is one of the worst coaches ever seen.
