Donovan Mitchell just finished a disappointing playoffs where Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks beat him again. Now, with the NBA offseason in full swing, rumors are starting to surface that he is still set on joining the New York Knicks after his contract is over. It’s not great news for the Cavaliers who likely hoped they could keep him and there’s no question Mitchell will be a name to watch on the trade deadline in a year or two.

I could see it happening. Might force the Cavs to make a trade before his contract expires. Might not happen this Summer, though. I would think they'd try to bolster their bench and try again next season.
James, what are your thoughts on Donovan and Rudy's early playoff exits? Does yet another early disappointing playoff collapse validate that they are not championship caliber players?
