Not too well versed on the cap and contracts but is there a possibility Middleton can walk and we get nothing back?
If that happens, championship window closed and giannis is 100% not gonna re-sign with us

“Team desperate for talent interested in top free agents”
You see something new every day I guess

Unpopular opinion but make it work where we get kyrie back and we just take a huge chance on him. Jrue to SG and Irving running point would take giannis pick and roll game to next level. Probably bails on us when we need him most but i don’t think we win next year without some changes anyway

We need to revitalize the team with younger talent. I don’t think Dallas can help us do that.

Eh. I can’t see Khris opting out of $40 mil unless he knows Dallas would give him a 3 year w/4th year option for like $100-$120+. Because I could easily see Cuban giving him a contract like that while it seems clear we’re not interested in working out an extension with him (especially considering there was no traction at all on this during the regular season).
Honestly, I would prefer Khris opt in and we work out a trade afterwards if he’s serious about leaving. Because if we lose him for nothing, we’re still over the cap regardless with nothing to show for it. Of course, that’s what ownership may prefer…although with Lasry out, Haslam might be more willing to keep paying a huge tax bill.
This is going to be an interesting off season…for many reasons.
