  1. That was someone of the best defense on Curry you can get.

Steph will do Steph, and there can be more adjustments for those screens, but he was co-MVP with AD with that defense he played today.

Elite defense on Curry. As soon as he went out in the 4th the Warriors went on their big run until he came back in. Casuals just see his offense not his huge defensive impact.

  3. Flat_Stranger69

Jarred vanderbilt is steph curry father

  4. Snoo41255

    Love you Vando.

When Ham took Vando out Curry went hot again in the 4th leading to a 10-0 run. His impact doesn’t show up on stat sheets, but we need him

  5. Jeanlucpfrog

We thought he could only do wing defense. Nah, he proved us wrong. D’d up Curry 😤😤😤

  6. Hashtagworried

Dude was practically curry’s annoying shadow tonight.

  7. GovTheDon

Jobs not finished, get some rest gunna need to maintain that effort

  8. IskaralPustFanClub

Vando is so good on defense it completely counters how useless he is in offense and he’s still legit.

  9. 3rdPlaceYoureFired

The three and the dunk was just the icing on the cake. Great job

  10. K0CKULEES

Steph is such a goddamn beast that no matter how well you play him he is gonna get his. Take that into consideration and they did a solid job of keeping him contained.

  11. booty_sweat_juice

Screen navigation was insane, even with the blatant moving screens. All-Defensive type shit today.

  12. AndThenSheAssMeh

And Darvin takes you out. Damn with these decisions, Darvin. And call a time out for christ’s sake!

  13. imnewb2

That Vando block on Looney and 3 pointer on the other end was tuf

My new nickname for Vanderbilt: Elmer
Dude was Elmer’s Glue on Curry bruh!
Every time Curry had the ball with Vanderbilt on him I was like “c’mon Elmer’s shut him down”

  15. dmoola_3016

DLo and Reaves get distracted and Vandos length is huge when he’s trailing Steph

  16. No-Equipment-20

Listened to a ton of scouting stuff on this series and it seems the general consensus was “this probably isn’t a Vanderbilt series, his screen navigation is poor so he can’t guard Steph or Klay”. Glad that Vandy is proving he can defend one of the toughest assignments in the NBA

  17. patwildel

I want him to be a Purple and Gold forever

  18. aznmango8

Locked Steph down all night until Darvin Ham took him out in the 4th and Steph went on a 10-0 run by himself

  19. The whole defence locked down on the Warriors in the paint. Vando did a great job on Curry and even hit that corner 3.

If Vanderbilt does what he did tonight, the Lakers win the series. Play that defense, and do what he did on offense. Hit at least 1 three (no more than 3 maybe 4 attempts) to keep them honest or make them pay for not. Grab a couple offensive boards and get one bucket off an offensive rebound. Get one bucket pushing the pace in transition most likely with LeBron. Get to the foul line once and hit one of them. Sprinkle in a few assists and that’s a winning formula.

I never seen anyone block curry’s floater that was something

Not once did I ever doubt the Vandalorian’s defensive prowess. All he needs to do is stop fouling so much. Less fouls = more time on Curry = less shots made.

  24. asianboy89

Yup Vanderbilt has to retire as a Lakers

  25. Anyone notice how many butt bumps or “accidental” kick balls Vando did after a make? He finally got called for delay late in 4th. Stopped them from running. Hilarious, high iq.
