KD is a fraud. He is a 1B and a better #2. KD can't carry a team like a LeBron, Curry, Luka, Butler, Dirk, Iverson, etc.
The problem Phoenix has is that Durant and Booker are a better offensive duo than Jokic and Jamal… but they are not gonna outscore them by 10, let alone 20 or 25 points, so the series will be decided by the rest of players, and in that regard the Nuggets are waaaay better.

KD's legacy is that he would never get rings until he rode the Warrior's Steph Curry bus. It's the absolute truth that you can put on a shelf, up there. Lebron and Jordan are indisputable. Steph Curry was drafted and developed. KD has natural talent, but cannot win with his own teams. He chokes as soon as you double team him.
To expect KD to figure it out in only 13 total games with expectations to win a chip is insane. Suns have KD another couple of years

I would say no, it's not a negative impact, I think it's more about Jokic and his ascent, rather than KD slipping from the top. Cause he's still a guy that anyone will want on their team, he's still that top 1-5player in the world… He'd be great with Jokic lol… the Media needs to stop acting like this isn't a team game.
