Joel Embiid, 76ers host Jayson Tatum & Celtics tonight in Game 3 | NBA | FIRST THINGS FIRST

Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics aim to go up 2-1 on Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers tonight in Game 3. Embiid returned for Game 2, but told reporters yesterday he should have been out four to six weeks with the sprained knee and is not 100 percent. Nick Wright, Chris Broussard, and Kevin Wildes debate if they should expect Embiid to look like the MVP tonight.

  1. Well yea part of the reason why the line is moving that way is because the entire world doesn't expect Jayson Tatum to score 7 points again. lol

The others won't need to show up as much. So it doesn't matter.

  2. I was worried about tonight, but then Nick picks the 76ers the way he did claiming the celts bench was going to struggle

  3. The issue with the 76ers is that they are a team that kind of relies on getting foul calls. Its one of the main reasons why Embiid has never made it past the 2nd round.

  4. Right now, AD is load managing in the second round of the playoffs. Forget the regular season…aint nobody got time for that😂😂

  5. Boston is winning tonight, bet your life savings on it. Embid is completely injured.

  6. As a boston fan, we gotta stop comparing both brown and tatum. Both are amazing players and we should be glad to have then on our team instead of comparing both. We all have to admit tatum is the best player on the team and move on.

  7. I like the disrespect from the media and Vegas odd. Sixers plus 10, then plus 7 and now plus 2 lol.

  8. The Vegas and gambling references are GROSS. Gambling destroys lives. Plus it really does make me question the authenticity of the take :/ Keep it off air pls.

  9. I’m curious why the media doesn’t talk about Tatum the way they talk about AD. 1-7 is crazy even in a win

  10. I don't think Nick Wright has ever said a nice thing about the C's. Ever. His hatred for the team is immense. Typical hot take media personality… he won't even accept calling a 34 point W a blowout… smh.

  11. If Joel plays tonight, easy win for Boston. Embiid is too predicable, they know how to defend him.

  12. of course they gave it to Embiid… NBA was scared of all the weirdos crying racism if Jokic won again🙄

  13. It's almost like Nick didn't watch Game 2…..they lost by 30+ points, you don't think that has something to do with the odds? Nick such a hater.

  14. They need another superstar or two to play with Giannis. Every other team except Bucks and Miami has one, and at the end of the day it will be Denver or Celtics that will get the chip. Throw GSW in there too with a chance.

  15. I’m calling it here. If the Lakers beat GS Lebron is getting another championship 🏆 because the Lakers will beat Denver in 6 or 7 games and nobody in the East can Beat the Lakers in 7 games.

  16. There is no legitimate basketball argument for Philly to beat Boston in the seven game series. Embiid is a monster and he can't be guarded but it comes down More than just one player. Nick just doesn't want Boston to win so he's choosing Philly, and he can make up whatever stats to prove his point which indeed may be accurate but won't help on the court

  17. These guys really need to start watching these games. If they watched the game Embiid played they would have known that Tatum played. You dont forget that kind of stuff, and these guys do it for a living.

  18. Overall record matters but can be influenced by weak matchups. Direct head to head matchups in the season (if lineups are still comparable) tell a better story. Case in point – 2007 Warriors were 3-0 head to head against the 67 win Dallas Mavericks and then beat them 4-2 in the playoffs. So it doesn't surprise me Vegas thinks Philly isn't going to win this series.
