The Toronto Raptors Are Moving On From Gary Trent Jr?

I will be discussing some news that came out about the Toronto Raptors and Gary Trent jr’s future with the team. I will be going through some options the Raptors have with Gary Trent jr in regards to sign and trade and will also be discussing Trent’s impact he had on the Raptors and why the Raptors may be ready to move on.

  1. If am GTJ I would take those shots to. Because pascal and Freddy always take most of the shot. Especially Fred don’t ever want to past the damn ball.

  2. Depends on the price. If the FO can get him for less than $23/year, then do it. Otherwise, try to broker a sign-and-trade or hopefully he opts in.

  3. I thought Gary was supposed to look for his shot.
    Same with fvv.

We didn't need passing this year. Cuz neither the starters or bench could shoot

  4. We have talked about this numbers of times. The Raptor's scouting has to go out and find some lower cost contributors . They can't be continually up against the salary cap and not win ! They should let both GTJ and FVV go to find other shooters. If GTJ ops into his contract then he will be a great piece to package with Flynn to bring in another more consistent player.

  5. Trading Norman Powell for Gary Trent was again a mistake by Masai Ujiri. Let's not worship him just because he hit the jackpot in 2019.

  6. This is a real concern with Trent. He’s never really looking to pass the ball and if his shot is not falling he can shoot you out of a game. I just think the Raptors might look to move on from Trent and draft a player to replace the offense he provided. The raptors can still move up in a lottery spot in the draft and they can get a good offensive player there.

  7. Fred and Gary Trent are my favourite. Those are the cutest guys in the team.

  8. Going off on a tangent but noticed from the salary cap information that you showed
that the Raptors paid about 16 million dollars total last year for
Young, Porter, Banton and Barton and all four of them
saw hardly any time on the floor.

Maybe the salary cap problem isn't due to trying to figure out how to pay the
team's top 7 players but rather it's due to paying 16 million dollars
to bench players who almost never see the floor.

Not going to happen but if that 16 million dollars in expenses magically disappeared
that would go a long way towards dealing with salary cap issues.

Wondering what free agent one could get for 16 million dollars
or what 2 free agents one could get for 8 million dollars each to strengthen the bench.

I just don't see the point of paying players one has no intention of playing.

Obviously the Raptors didn't know Porter was going to be injured so much
but even when he was playing he didn't get that many minutes
    and he didn't score much.

I get that the Raptors are trying to be patient with Banton to see if he will develop
but he's not going to develop if he just sits on the bench all the time.

  9. I’ve noticed Trent’s body language a few times, not dabbing up siakam and Fred at times 😂

I think this teams just a really bad fit tbh. So many times, we’d see Trent, Fred or OG get injured but team would still win.

  10. @Gregory had the right answer to the last question – A: Jimmy Buckets!

Just had the wrong option A. instead of C. on the list. Maybe a shout out on the next video

  11. I am with you. I used to be a big Gary supporter, but he has become a liability. Far too many poor shooting games this year. Worse, the fact that he doesnt contribute in other areas makes his play egregious.

  12. Don’t forget when Trent averaging like 25 for a month , he’s better then you think
