  1. And thanks to ESPN and Kendrick Perkins, we'll never know if he really deserved it or a bunch of white people voted for Joel Embiid because they didn't want to be branded racist. Well done for muddying the legitimacy with you hate filled race baiting.

  2. The MVP about to destroy the Celtics and get to his first conference finals

  3. Joel Embid congratulations to the young man on receiving the MVP 2022 – 23 award . Truly a champion player and a top quality performer on the all time list. Well done n wish him greater success, health n happiness always

  4. First of all, definitely congratulations to Embiid on winning the MVP title. He had a great season.

But let's be realistic. The entire narrative surrounding the MVP title in the last month, according to the media and NBA analysts, downplayed what Jokić is doing and exalted Embiid. Again, far from Embiid not being exceptionally good, but Jokic was better.
I'm sorry that the narrative is so easily changed. I don't know why NBA analysts generally don't have much love for Jokic.
Is it because he is European, or is it because he is a slow, unathletic white guy. I really don't know, but it's stupid and silly.

    1. The whole narrative that Jokić can't win the 3rd mvp title because he won the last two and didn't win the championship title is banal without context.
For the last two years, Jokić was without the second best player on the team (Murray, who is an all-star caliber player) and without a couple of solid role players. So he single-handedly carried Denver into the postseason pretty far. Well done Jokic.
    2. Unfortunately, the MVP title is most VALUABLE only for the regular season, not the postseason. As we can see, Jokić dominates as much, if not more, in the postseason, as he did in the regular season.
    3. Jokic's numbers are generally better than Embiid's. In a way that Denver without Jokić is quite weak, while Philadelphia without Embiid plays quite well and has more than a positive score without him.

Maybe it's not nice for the fans to see Jokić because he's not an athlete, maybe because he's not that active on social media and doesn't pay attention to it, so it doesn't come to the fore. You can see for yourself how easy it is to get media attention if you talk a lot, provoke or do something else. Example Dillon Brooks.
He's the object of ridicule right now, but if Memphis had gone on against the Lakers, Dillon Brooks would have grown a following, and he would have gotten a better contract, etc.
I just want to emphasize the power of media…

In general, congratulations to Embiid, but I think Jokić deserved it more.
It's just a shame that the media, analysts and the NBA are putting the narrative together.
I think that the MVP title should not be given out of some kind of mercy and empathy.
I think the voting system is bad, people are too subjective and are easily swayed by things that don't really mean a thing in Most Valuable Player voting.

Thank God, this does not affect Jokić one bit, because realistically, this way of voting and awarding the MVP loses credibility and weight. In the last month, we had the opportunity to see the complete depreciation of Jokić, constant bashing.
Again, I'm glad for Embiid, he is a brilliant player. I just don't like the way he won (help from Perkins for example putting the narrative on voters to avoid being "racist" when races should not, and does not have anything to do with it). He had a brilliant season, but still, another player is much more valuable to his team, and another player had a better season…

  5. JoJo deserved to be 2X MVP good job my fellow African Brother good luck this series rooting for ya

  6. What joke all you voters are!!! MVP of league 😂😂😂. Not even for his own team

0-2 with Embid , 1-0 without in Celtics series.

What a joke, oh yeah the Joker we all know was the REAL MVP this year!

  7. Jokic 100% robbed.. Shame on this award which is losing all its credibility. Not even a a jokic fan here but numbers dont lie. Team success dont lie.. Happy for embiid tho, wish him all the best

  8. Thank you. I wouldnt be here if i wasnt 7ft tall and 300 pounds.
    Nba is pure trash

  9. Outside of them generally being angry, why are Philly fans booing Adam Silver? What did he do to the Sixers? Did he suspend somebody?

  10. Honestly, Philadelphia will never really love him. Philly demands their players to be more aggressive and show more heart. Think Barkley & Iverson. Not his fault, just the reality of the Philly culture.
