if the raptors could somehow retain him on a discounted price id love to have him return to the team. i just dont think he's worth what those other teams are willing to pay. if he got the team involved more and developed real playmaking skills then we can talk 100m type of money. but i dont think any 3 & D dude is worth that kind of money without having more in the bag of tricks. OG is different, he's an unreal defender with a developing offensive game. im pretty sure we know exactly what to expect from gary and his offense.

When gary came back from injury it looked like gary didn't want to be here stop trying lack of effort 1 dimensional player. I believe if gary didn't play in the play in tournament vs bulls we be playing new york in the playoffs.
GTJ has more upside than a SpaceX rocket, so I hope the raps don't panic and let him walk for nothing.

I'd like to keep Trent just because I think he has a bit more potential to be unlocked and with the right coach he'll hit a new ceiling. He's a shot creator and plays good defense plus he's not afraid to finish in the paint either. He's young and has time to develop. I understand him and NN didn't see eye to eye but that's been dealt with. With a new coach I think Gary would be great. He has the heart and will of a SG. This season he had a good game but just was not clutch in big moments. Both Pascal and Gary were not clutch in big moments. Anyway you shouldn't throw away someone who is versatile, if we can get something out of it then cool, but if not keep him
Bring home Dillon Brooks on a discount, and snatch up some of no name snipers on the Thunder. They got floor spacers and can't even tank their season with them on giving SGA on chance every night

I ain't paying no inconsistent player a 100 million contract, like Chev say's he's a one dimensional player. But if he stays for less I'm willing to have him on the roster for the future, only because he's young and can improve🙏🏻

Honestly…GTJ is alright…..basketball is evolving like you said and we need him as a piece to the puzzle….Massai knows better
Personally, i'd prefer to see Dillon Brooks for Trent Jr. straight up. We need some nastiness and consistent in your face defence which Dillon would bring, plus Dillon i think would give you 14-15 ppg . Would love to see Dillon Brooks on the Raptors.
GTJ doesn't rebound or assist the basketball. His defense has also been questionable and those looking at the steals don't understand this. The Raptors defensive schemes are to attack the passing lanes which is why they were first, as a team, in steals and deflections per game. GTJ is an average on ball defender. On top of this, he is very inconsistent with his shooting. Great players do everything, especially when their shot is not falling. GTJ has a lot of learning to do and him expecting such a big contract, don't be surprised if teams bench him or he gets traded from team to team because no one wants that contract. Players need to start being humble and know their true worth and not what managers whisper in their ears.

Those thirsty executives can have GTJ and pay him what ever they want too. The raps need an explosive SG who can shoot threes at good rate. Raps should just draft one of these good explosive guards in the draft who have good shooting upside.

All he looked at was his efg %& getting to the line. Said he nows needs to start getting and 1's. Nothing about assist, rebounds or defense. That's to tell you where GTJ mindset is. If his dad is saying this who is actually is defacto personal trainer & private coach. Then you better believe this is not the player Masai wants in his organization.
@chev gary in his option year makes 18 million plus so he will get 22-25 million. the problem is alot of teams dont have cap space unless its a lottery team so they will have to do a sign and trade for gary.
