I agree with all these points, but I think the main reason to why they’ve just turned to Crap is the Kyrie Irving trade and getting rid of those peices for him even though they were a top 5 team in there conference without Kyrie
Mark Cuban is managing the Mavs like an obsessive NFT Investor with gambling issues. He tends to like doing big-time swings, yet let goes of people who are cogs of the machine. He looks at the Dallas team roster seeing not only the players, but also counts their ROI. That's also why he made Dirk opt out of his contract to take the biggest paycut in NBA history when thinking back, Dirk's contract wasn't even an issue other than Mark Cuban being a cheapskate, then signing the unnecessary 22 million per year Barnes contract.
He basically has one foot in one side, then one foot in the other. One feet wants to "win" ball games on big moves and players. The other feet wants to be as financially profitable as possible.
That's probably also the reason why he dipped out of the play-in and tanked for the 10th pick. Because he knows playing for the play-in means no home games as the 10th seed. No home games means no seats at the stadium, which means no dollas for his pockets.
After they blew that big lead to our Lakers I think that's where things just went downhill for them
